Yes, the Oilers are outskating the Flames but their two goals was scored on powerplays. One on 5 on 4 and the other 5 on 3. Flames forward are still working on their chemistry.

The Flames are going to be bad. It's part of tearing down like we have. It takes time to acquire the pieces needed, and that comes at the draft table. This is more of what we are going to see every game this year.

I seriously doubt that. We had terrible games last season too.
To me it looks more like they're afraid to play. Constantly giving up easy pucks instead of trying to make plays, defensemen afraid to move up the ice, leaving the gaps too big, etc.
I also think people have had their expectations too high.

It's just sloppy is all. A few well focused practices and this team will be competing well again. Not winning a lot, but at least competing.
