Maybe you are in the wrong place if you don't want to share opinions on hockey. But thanks for sharing your feelings on my ultra controversial comment on thinking Gaudreau may have earned his way onto the starting line up. I am loony like that!
It was a very simple question as to how you arrived at that opinion so quickly, and you seem pretty upset about it. Opinion sharing is great, and my opinion is that you seemed to arrive at yours very quickly. I guess we'll leave the how a mystery. That's fun.

I get what Peter is trying to say, but at the same time, I'm done tempering expectations, and I really don't think the decision is as hard as the radio crew are making it out to be.

Johnny's taken the decision out of their hands. He's not going to the A. If he does, I'll be shocked, utterly shocked. But like Wills said, he'll be back, he's not going anywhere anytime soon.

Well thank you for sharing your opinion on me having an opinion. Good discussion. Fortunately for the rest of the board it's one that is over.

*break* (yes, I have a radio)

That spin away from the check and pass sequence was incredible. His ability to find the tape through traffic on Jooris goal was also incredible. Kid has serious talent. More so, it looked like he learned how to use that talent in NHL traffic.

Gotta stop taking this approach. Johnny doesn't have any haters on CP... literally, not a single one. The total opposite.

We all just want what is absolutely best for him. Approaching the pre-season, I was of the opinion (and I believe Flames staff was too) that Johnny should spend some time in the AHL, like all players should... UNLESS he plays out of this world and is one of our top players, in each game he dresses. He's done just that, and so he'll make the team, and none of us could be happier!

That's exactly my thoughts as well. I was expecting his talent to be there, but I didn't expect it to be so consistent. It's that consistency that should make him avoid the AHL entirely, and I was definitely one of the people that thought he should spend a month or two down there. He's literally too good for that.

The best for Johnny and the best for the team is that he play in the NHL.

End.
Of.
Story.

Mony and Jooris with two goals each. When was the last time a Flame had a hat-trick? I don't remember one last year.

Nobody noticed Bennett passed to himself towards the end of the 3rd? That was awesome

Glencross had one in the 8-1 rout of the Oilers last season.

The Flames are about to add an elite level offensive catalyst to their opening day lineup. Somehow I am less worried about replacing Cammy's points.

And Johnny was on the verge of getting the highlight of the night again tonight as he undressed that jets' dman coming into the zone... But the guy stuck out his leg with a dirty trip to his knees as he was falling down from getting dangled. No call on the play was ridiculous.
