It's partly the mob mentality thing too. Lots of people around so everybody does nothing, thinking surely someone else will do something.

This guy is giving people that carry a travel bar a bad name. Such practicle baggage is supposed to be reserved for gentlemen and highly functioning alcoholics.

seriously. it's funny that in this day and age, heck just recording and posting it to social media is valued about as much as trying to assist in the injustice.

The world is becoming too pussified. Not so long ago this DB gets a shot in the lips and the world moves on.
Nowadays if someone dealt with this DB in the manner in which was deserved and punched him in the lips, half of the riders would have recorded it on their phones and we'd have an argument on social media about bullying.

Are you missing the part where he apparently stomped on her foot?
Any person that uses a seat for their bag (when others are looking for a seat) deserve to be called out, imo. (unless the person needs the extra seat for health reasons)

For wanting to sit on an 'open' seat after paying to use transit? She should feel entitled.

I would have said to him "You're gonna move your bag and let the lady sit down. Period."
And violence would have followed if he didn't agree.

Where exactly did I say it was okay for what he did to her? My point is she got unreasonably upset over a person who denied her a seat. However, I can understand why she would be upset if he denied her a seat, then proceeded to push and stomp on her foot.

The fact she stated "real man you are, can't let a woman sit down" just proves she felt entitled because she was a female not a paying customer.

I agree and in my younger days I would have acted similarly. Today, I don't know what the most effective thing to do would be. Maybe the guy moves his bag because of a physical threat, maybe he says "Move me." Then you hit him. Then we see a headline titled "Redneck assaults Leprechaun on bus, trying to steal his LuckyCharms." with pictures of you included.

Maybe your point of view comes as a non-user of transit? Taking up an extra seat is rude and inconsiderate among other things. Then to not give up your seat when asked politely? Thats not just rude, thats being an a##. Thats being entitled that somehow your bag or feet or your fat a## are better than another transit rider.

The lady was having a bad day. She clearly stated that herself. I see her comment as an attempt to insult the individual, if anything harmful at all. Right or wrong, some men will still give up a seat for a woman. The man in front of the leprechaun did give up his seat for her. (Thats a discussion for another thread. Maybe the RIP YLYL sexism discussion?)
Maybe you don't know what entitled means or maybe you share the leprechaun's mentality. I don't really see where your point of view is coming form.

I don't know what society you live in, but in mine it is not a "favor" to give up a seat that your bag is occupying. A "favor" would be giving up the seat you are sitting in.
Although for me, admittedly old fashioned, I would give up my seat for a woman or an old person without being asked. I would also not consider it a favor, merely the right thing to do.
