And its done. Large Yes bastion just fell hard to No. (Renfrewshire), with Dundee going Yes as expected (Yes HQ city), but not has strongly as expected.

I'm re-confirming my earlier prediction before the vote that 59% would go No.

Finally a win for Yes. Still a never tight race and it can swing either way.

49.1% for no and 50.9% for yes overall. This is much more exciting than the football game tonight.

Anyone know what kind of turnout there was in the Quebec referendum? These numbers in Scotland are high, and a good thing that a lot of people are voting.

Yep. Midlothian probably muted any budding excitement for the yes side.

And the massacre continues. Margins of win on the No side are larger than expected, while Yes victories are all smaller than expected.

You'd need a miracle in the large cities at this point. Specifially Glasgow to go monsterously more YES than the 55% victory anticipated

53-47 is a lot closer than I expected. If it stays within 2 or 3 points until glasgow results come out this could be really close.

I think yes has to start chipping away at this incrementally, a few thousand at a time. Glasgow has only 350,000 votes. That 26000 lead is too much for Glasgow alone to overcome.
