Edmonton management knows the fans expectations would be shattered if Nurse had to go head to head against Gaudreau-Bennett, obviously Lowe trying to manipulate the perspective of the fans as long as possible.

I like the idea of Ferland, Gaudreau and Kanzig being on the ice at the same time. The prospect pool is looking good for the first time that I can think of.

Bennett with Gaudreau and Ferland? Yes please!!

No Granlund though? Management convinced that they've seen all they need too for now? Definitely looks like our most NHL ready prospect.

Just got home from work and there's hockey tonight. Life is good again.

Also of note in that image, the official Edmonton Oilers glory hole.

Lot's of new faces on D for this game. It's going to be interesting to see which of the invitees looks good (if any). Jason Fram definitely looks intriguing. Lord knows there are spots for him in Addy if he impresses.

So what's the deal with Fram? How does a dman in the WHL that gets 57 points and is +26 not get drafted?

He's short. Short D-men don't typically get drafted. For what it's worth, he was very good in the development camp, and I wouldn't be opposed to signing him.

6" is short?

atleast that's his height here:

http://www.whl.ca/roster/show/id/9049

I guess 6 feet is kind of short, most good dmen are big.

He was listed at 5-11 at the dev camp.

I was somewhat surprised that he wasn't drafted either. Seems like the perfect type of guy to use a 7th on, more so than a guy like Carroll.
