He's far and away taken the most faceoffs, and his percentage is the best of the centers save for Morrison. Singling Stajan out for faceoffs hardly seems warranted.

I'm not singling him out for blame, I'm pointing to faceoffs as a glaring area of concern, one in desperate need of upgrading, and arguing that retaining Stajan does nothing but solidify the problem.
The Flames needed to upgrade their faceoff prowess. Backlund and Monohan deserved to be kept for their overall potential in spite of their struggles. Upgrading their 3rd line centre was the natural choice. Instead, they signed Stajan for 3 more years. That's a problem.
If you don't agree either: (a) you think they should have moved Backlund or Monohan; or (b) are fine with sub .500 faceoff stats. Which is it?
