Sounds like a bunch of slackers to me. The least they could have done was sell it for $29.99, but this is EA, theyre all about money and dont give a **** about their fans.

EA is perhaps the most disappointing company, but they are not the worst video game publisher.

Look no further than King or Zynga, if you can call them video game companies.

Nowhere in that article does it say that. It does however say what EA has been saying for weeks and that is that OTP will be patched in with NHL players and not created players so everyone will quit when they don't get Crosby or Malkin.

EA has said EASHL will be back in future releases of the game, maybe that means NHL 16 maybe it means 17 or even later.

I am still blown away how a game can be released with 1/5th the content as previous versions and the developer expects people to pay full price.

I don't think it explicitly says that. They are planning to bring it back - whether that means in a patch or in another version of the game remains unclear.

I just played the full 360 version and if you were looking for something groundbreaking and innovative, prepare to be disappointed. Pretty much everything is the EXACT same, with the exception of music in the menus, rosters and announcers. Even the achievements are the same. I played 1 game and turned it off. I played NHL 14 last night and I could not tell the difference. It is a mirror port of that game. I sure hope the next-gen versions are worth it. No way in hell this is worth a full $60 price tag.

so the 360 version has all the game modes, the nextgen version has the game play enhancements.

if they were to mate and have a baby, it would be a damn good game.

how either game is being sold for full price is a joke.

I'm in shock this is the product EA is releasing, I really am. If 2k could sell NFL for cheap 1 year, then EA sure as hell should have done it this year for such an unfinished product.

I know you aren't the ea spokesperson. Just saying.

The commentating is really, really bad...

"Right in the helmet mask!!"

Thought they recorded 30,000+ new things?

I hear "Here comes Calgary on the fast road" (or something like that) on the breakout at least 32 times a game...

Also, why are the intro videos such low quality? Painful to watch such pixilated garbage.

For those that have a 360, and love playing the offline GM mode (like me), I highly recommend you watch this 30 minute video. NHL15 will be worth it, and I can't be more excited after watching this. Pretty much everything that I wanted upgraded in this game (as the guy mentions), they upgraded it. The drafts don't get watered down as the years go by anymore.

-Get better player progression out of draft picks
-Lots of late draft picks that have a better likelihood of cracking the AHL or NHL
-Lots of elite players scoring more points, hitting over 100 points more often rather than seeing the highest scoring forward in the season only hitting around 80-90 points. Defenseman can even hit 60-70 points sometimes too.

This guy goes through a lot to explain how great this GM mode is and how much they've upgraded it. Xbox One players, I really hope you didn't throw out your 360, because NHL15 will be worth it on that console.

The problem is that these are simply minimal improvements and not actually new features.

It's nice that scoring is a little higher and younger players develop faster, but these improvements come from literally adjusting sliders.

Yes, things are better, but they are not new.

I honestly thought we'd get things like coaches in the current gen version of Be A GM, or player suspensions, or being able to re-sign players mid-season, or improvements to how ridiculously common injuries are.

We didn't get any of that. We get barely anything in the current gen versions of the game. In the last gen versions, we get exactly the same game, but with a couple scoring and development sliders having been tweaked slightly.

That is not a new game. It is a $70 patch.

I would have bought this game if it had exactly the same features as 14, but with improved graphics and gameplay. My expectations were low. Unfortunately, we have to choose between improved gameplay and graphics but minimal replayability, or a slightly improved version of NHL 14 on dated hardware. I've bought every NHL game since 2001, but unfortunately I don't see a reason to buy this game. There has been no game series I've spent more time on over the last three years, and yet here I am not even interested in spending money on this.

The NHL series took 1 step forward and about 5 steps back this time around, and we all know in the next 3-4 years, these removed game modes will be re-introduced as new features.

from that vid the issue will be too many good players with all the growth and eventually FAs will be in the 80s, etc

that looks good until you realize every player you draft grows into the mid/high 80s...

argh, overalls are so dumb in the game. dwight king an 82??

i did like seeing gaudreau win the calder in his second pro year though

i am going to miss be a gm this year on the next gen, especially when it's another year of flames rebuilding...

For me, I am willing to pay the $60 just because I spend quite a bit of my time (when I have free time) playing the GM mode. I know that EA could have done better, but I am just not going to waste my time complaining about it.

Anyone playing EA access..is there a slider to reduce pass accuracy? I dig the gameplay (playing the demo) but I notice every single pass is tape to tape, even playing on hardcore setting. I think some more missed passes could add some more variety to the gameplay.

Really? Just by making almost anybody have a linear improvement makes the game boring. There's no differentiating between stars, elite players, top 6/top 4 players etc.

I don't mind when there's a 'failed' prospect. Seeing the few making it to the big show is a lot more interesting than everybody being good. All that does it make all the prospects/players less valuable/special in relation.

It wasn't linear progression though. My issue was almost no rookies would play for the team until 5 or 6 years after drafting. That was boring
