I seriously cant believe this, i too bought the PS4 with the sole purpose of playing NHL 15 and while the EASHL, OTP and GM connected omissions were pretty ridiculous......what is the bloody point if i cant play a full complete generated mode of Be a GM?!?!?!?
I called the EB games that has my PS4 pre-order and they are allowing me to wait until i know for sure which console i want to buy this game for and if i decide to go with PS3 they'll allow me to switch it after the release date. I hate to give any of my money to EA but unfortunately there's just no way i could go an entire year without playing video game hockey.
Wow that's awful I was considering buying it for 360 as well (pre-ordered xbox one) so I could play eashl and I may as well play nhl14 on eashl and save myself the money
So PS3/360 are basically the same with a roster update.
PS4/XBone have updated graphics, physics and menus, yet missing everything except HUT, a gimped Be a GM/Pro and...oh Practice!
Just got back from cancelling my pre-order at EB Games and the girl said at least 10 other people had cancelled since she got to work. Awesome. I hope they take a massive dent in sales because of this.

i have ea access so have been fiddling around with fifa 14, considering how amazing it is, can't see them screwing up 15 at all. if anything, all reports point to being the best fifa ever.
Seems that way. Fifa 14 was already a next-gen game and I expect 15 will be a good refinement of the game. Can't wait!
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I missed when 2k was an option. It forced EA to improve their game, but with no competition they can release whatever crappy product they want now.
The Following User Says Thank You to Pontine For This Useful Post:
I fully admit that I have been a defender of the NHL series and EA for many years. Hockey is a complex sport and making a game that appeases both the hardcore simulation and arcade fans simultaneously is nearly impossible. This, however, is indefensible. How can EA push out a half-complete game and charge $70 for it with a straight face?
I was thinking that maybe the licensing contract with the NHL stipulates that the game must be released by opening night of the NHL and EA had their hands tied. But, then I remembered that this is EA and they haven't given a #### about the customer in a decade.
I'm curious to see if this negative publicity actually makes a noticeable difference in sales.
I imagine most purchasers of the series aren't regular forum goers like many of us on here.
Talked to a number of friends who are completely unaware of the missing features despite being a fan of the game or interested in buying it. I'm sure the scathing reviews will be bound to get some people digging deeper but I don't see much hope in a shocking failure for EA.
Edit: Appears that 'the draft' is being patched in. Specifically Be A GM or maybe changes to Be A Pro? Who knows.
