So, you just feel that they require your marginalization based on broad sweeping judgements then? Okay, carry on.

About 8-years ago, I saw a young man get his ass handed to him by 4 bouncers for puking in the bathroom at Whiskey. Yes I did call the cops; the bouncers made the same story up that the threatened them with a knife.

8-10 years ago I heard about another dude that was used as a punching bag by a bouncers because he was dating the bouncers ex.

Numerous times I've seen blatent racisim by bouncers, I can't even count how many times I've seen brown guys denied for various reasons. More often then not they use shoes as an excuse as a white guy walks by in sneakers.

Bouncers seem to go on authority trips. Mind you I base my story on 10-year aged events.

See with some context I can understand you post better. While I don't completely agree with it, I can see why you would post that they of post.

Bouncing is not an easy job, sadly if everyone could learn to control themselves, both in action and how much they drink, bouncer might be a dead profession.

Those four bouncers are not every bouncer.

Besides being hearsay, that situation involving those bouncers does not mean that all bouncers are guilty of the same actions.

So, that justifies marginalizing them as a group?

Some bouncers do these things. Not all of them do. People tend not to remark to others how professional the doorman was. Usually only stories of poor behaviour come to light.

So let me get this straight.....

Guy goes to bar
Guy gets stupid drunk
Guy harasses female patrons
Guy tries to start multiple fights in bar
Guy is asked to leave, and is escorted out by bouncers and friends
Guy assaults bouncer
Bouncer does not retaliate, Friends drag guy away
Guy scream death threats
Guy returns as promised, and attacks bouncers
Guy gets a$$ beat

Poor guy?

amidoinrite?

If this was a house party, that you were hosting, and some idiot is acting like this guy, harassing your female friends, trying to pick fights with everyone, then assaults you and threatens to come back and kill you when you tell him to get out of your house, are the people defending him really saying that they would not have defended themselves, or wanted a friend to defend them when the guy does return?
This idiot absolutely got what was coming to him, and is actually quite lucky it wasn't worse. A few cuts, scrapes and bruises is far less than a few people I know have left house parties or bars with.

I don't consider myself a particularly tough guy, but having both been the messed up dude who doesn't even move after getting his face smashed by a much bigger dude and witnessing it from other people, yeah you kind of need to make sure you have the guy down.

I hope you get the custom user title "Protector of Bouncers".

I'm too old to care about it personally now, but bouncers are generally arogant and racist pricks.

That's awesome. More aggressive d-bags need their ass kicked these days. Nothing more annoying than a drunk guy trying to start fights with everyone.

I'm saying this as someone who went through a solid few months of being that kind of ####### when I was 19-20. Maybe not going around picking fights, but not avoiding them by any stretch.

The fact that you find someone getting so badly beat up "awesome" is really messed up.

... and I completely understand that "if this was in Eastern Europe"....

Its illegal for security guards to use a CLOSED hand attack. Even if they are attacked first, an open palm is acceptable tho.I was looking into this when I was going to get my security license to pick up some extra cash for the household.

I've been in worse shape after tripping on my own shoe lace.
Where does it say anywhere that he was so badly beaten.
If the guys walks away with a broken nose and a concussion as the worst of his injuries, I wouldn't call that severely beaten. And it doesn't even say anywhere that he suffered either of those injuries.

I'm not protecting bouncers as you put it. I'm pointing out the flaws in your reasoning. I'm just not down with marginalizing entire groups of people based on the actions of some.
