I mean just seems a little convenient that he had a camera with him, don't you think?

corporatejay being Erick Estrada. Although he certainly did sound like he could be gay and I do feel his parents looked sincere in their disdain for his homosexuality. I just don't feel we know enough about the individual to give him the entire benefit of the doubt as anytime someone records something like this I feel they can be manipulating the situation.

The Catholic church teaches that it is a person's good works that earn them their way into heaven. This is the definition of religion and what sets the Christian faith apart from religion. The Bible teaches that there is nothing a person can do to earn their way to heaven on their own, it is only through repentance and faith in Jesus that one can get right with God and make it to heaven.
I understand that to someone who isn't a part of either faith this may seem like splitting hairs over doctrine, but salvation is what makes someone a Christian. So when the Bible teaches that there is only one way to attain salvation and the Catholic church teaches the complete opposite, hopefully you can see how Catholic and Christian can not be the same thing.

I never said that they were the same thing, only that all Catholics are Christians. They are, Catholicism is a smaller subsection of Christianity. I used to be Catholic myself. I never had anyone tell me I wasn't Christian aside from one family in one of those fringe beliefs I was talking about. I identified as a Christian. And when needed, of the Catholic doctrine of Christianity.
There are differences between Catholicism and other groups of Christianity, of course. As I mentioned in my first post, some are big, some are small. It all depends on the two groups you are comparing. But all Catholics are Christians. It's only been some of these newer fringe groups that have started to try and exclude themselves (or other groups) out of the overall umbrella of Christianity over contradictions.
There is no Christian Christianity. Some groups have tried to label themselves as the one true Christianity, just as all religions often try to label themselves as the one true religion. But there are many different doctrines that are part of a larger Christian umbrella.
From Wikipedia...
Worldwide, the three largest groups of Christianity are the Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox Church, and the various denominations of Protestantism. The Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox patriarchates split from one another in the schism of the 11th century, and Protestantism came into existence during the Reformation of the 16th century, splitting from the Roman Catholic Church

I can't believe I'm going to say this but by your definition the Catholic Church looks like the good guys in this situation.
Be a good, honest, charitable person all your life but don't believe in Jesus - Eternal Hellfire!
Be a terrible person, steal, rape, murder but repent and believe in Jesus - Welcome to Heaven!
If that's what your heaven is count me out.

I don't know where you learnt about Christianity, but you were misinformed. Daradon got it right in his post above. Catholics are one of the three major sub-groups of Christianity (along with Protestants and Eastern Orthodox). Within those sub-groups there are further denominations (e.g. Anglican, Baptist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, etc.), but all of them are Christians.

So you mean all Catholics are Christians, but not all Christians are Catholics.........?

There are doctrinal differences of opinion between all sects of Christianity, that doesn't make them not Christian. Honestly, Daradon's right. Christians are followers of Christ. That takes many forms, and Catholocism is just one of those forms.

So you do agree that choir girls are often hot then. Was confused with your first reply to mine. Guess you were just talking about the first half of my post.
Yeah, it's 'preaching to the choir' because well, the point of the saying is that choir is going to agree with the sermon anyway. It's the congregation that is bummed about missing football that you need to convince.
Chatting with the choir. Well, it seems you got that covered on your own. As did I. As was the joke.

Wait, did you intentionally set out to confuse me?
Choir girls are hot, and often freaky.
