Can they just announce the new announcers already so we can be spared the Cole and Dylan drivel?
Solution: Make Bob Dylan the new PBP announcer. For radio.
Listeners would have no choice but to become FAR more engaged in the broadcast, if, you know, they wanted to have any idea of what the hell was going on.
He's up for both the Buffalo & Calgary jobs, along with one other NHL job I believe, so unless someone has confirmation it's still pretty up in the air.
Last I heard is that Kelly Hrudey would be the new TV colour guy
I don't know what's with that guy. People say he's a Flames fan but he sure doesn't show it. Maybe he's overcompensating with all his Oiler love so he appears unbiased, but he's annoying.

CBC laid off Mark Lee and Steve Armitage today. Lee has lots of Flames games under his belt.
“@DarrenWHaynes: Laid off by the CBC, Mark Lee says he's not ready to retire and will look for work in the industry. Flames need a new TV play-by-play voice.”

I know people hate Mark Lee but I have never had an issue with him. Good voice and emotion when calling games. Would be an upgrade on Kerr. If he replaces Maher I will rarely if ever listen as I watch all games

He shouldn't be a Flames fan. Do you really want a homer as the color guy? I sure don't. He lives in Calgary so he is connected to the city and loves it. He is critical of the Flames but that's good - because for the last number of years the Flames have not been a good team.
I think folks are way to paranoid about announcers supposed biases.
Hrudey would be excllent.

Mark Lee would be a fantastic replacement for Kerr.
Crossing my fingers that this one happens.
Not sure I could take Steve Armitage seriously. All I can think of with him is Mike Richards impersonations. lol!

I don't hate him but I think Kerr and Lee are almost interchangeable with experience going to Lee.
Both guys have no emotion, or at least real emotion, in their play call...both put me to sleep.
Just my opinion...I like the guys who can spice it up a bit which isn't everyone's cup of tea.
