so it seems like Jankowski has hit the 200 lbs mark, if his teammate's tweet is to believed ... great if true.

Nice to hear, thats dedication and is showing he wants to improve and make it to the show.

6'3, 200 lbs he should start to physically wear down the opposition this year. This is gonna be his big year that'll really put him on the legitimate prospect map.

And he still has more than a couple months left before the season starts to boost that number further.

Is he 6'4" now too?

That kind of size with decent hands is so tough to deal with. It drives me nuts when Joe Thornton gets the puck down low and it impossible to take it off him. I hope he ends up putting everything together.

The biggest thing that stands out is his passing to me. It's just beautiful.

This video doesn't have a lot of views so I am guessing many of you haven't watched it yet.

I'm really pulling for this kid to do well and be a force for this team, mostly to benefit the team but also to see some humble pie from people that wrote him off the minute he was drafted and have used every possible opportunity to bash him ever since, without giving him the proper amount of time that a prospect takes to develop.

He seems to be slowly changing some minds but he appears to have a way to go yet.

I personally feel he'll finish college, spend 2 seasons in the AHL, then come up and stick in the NHL. Where in the lineup do you guys see him considering we'll have Monahan-Bennett as our 1-2 punch?

I agree with your timeline - If he continues to progress I could see him play NHL games as his second (or maybe even first) pro season comes to a close.

If his offense doesn't translate I still think he can be a good 3rd line centre with size, faceoff ability, and defensive awareness.

If his offense translates and he proves himself to be an legitimate NHL centre, Bennett or Backlund could shift to the wing and ensure they all have top 6 ice time.

If his offense translates but Bennett/Monahan prove to be better NHL centers, Jankowski could play the wing as well, or maybe even the 3rd line wouldn't be a bad option given the talent and depth at wing.

Fantastic.

It's funny how at this point if Janko develops into anything for us at the NHL level, we're probably laughing. Bennett/Mono/Backlund down the middle, with Jankowski/Arnold/Knight and a few others in the mix as well.

He appears to have the talent, the hockey sense, and the height. Now he's getting pretty close in terms of weight, which speaks to his determination as well. Great to see!

It's funny watching so many college clips of Gaudreau, as the smallest guy on the ice, and then watching Jankowski who is usually the tallest. It's a big year for him -- hope it's a great one.

I can just see CP exploding after next season.

Will he or won't he sign? He's going to pull a Justin Shultz!

I don't think not signing is even in the cards until he actually puts up some noteworthy numbers in the NCAA. If he has another blah season statistically it doesn't matter how well the rest of his game looks on paper, he won't have the leverage or outside interest worthy of holding out. If he finally has a big year on the score sheet, then the Flames are laughing and in a win win situation.

Love how excited Janko gets when he scores. I think we may end up with a player here.

Yeah I agree, the hockey sense, hands, and size are there, hopefully growing into his body will enable his shot to improve. He's great at making plays, but his release is something that isn't ready for pro hockey yet.
