Dude was on a 1-way contract, I could only waive him to the NHL

At the end of the day joke is on me because I sent a 1st to Dave for him mid season. but I wanted to try to make the playoffs and I would do it again..... I'm not a tanker

It's funny because I know that I will be able to move him this season before the deadline. Sure, he's overpaid, but that won't stop a playoff team from trading me something for him.

You also be able to resign him for a cheaper contract then some fool is going to hand out to a FA in a couple weeks.

No question I'm happy you claimed him as I was tight to the cap and really wanted to free up 13 million for two guys I had playing on my 4th line and 5-6 D. This is still an NHL player, and before last season was a well rated player to get the 6M contract. 1 bad season doesn't make you into a crappy player
