So were you talking about Calgary or in general?

What other protests turned violent in Calgary?

Why are you avoiding the question CaptianYooh? Back up your claims or delete the post in question. Which Palestinian rallies have turned violent?

No, it's a metaphor.

Here, let me try some examples with humans to make it easier for you.

A white guy walks into a predominately black neighbourhood, starts spouting racial slurs and gets a kicking.

A guy decides to play chicken with traffic and gets hit.

or a CP favourite...

A guy wearing headphones walks in front of a C-Train at a crossing.

All victims. All to blame.

You seem to be saying that all victims are blameless. I'm saying that it is a grey issue.

What if someone where to wear a white hood and go for a stroll through Englewood in Chicago? I mean, you should be able to wear whatever you want and not fear violence, right?

These examples are much better. Bees was a horrible example.

Because you are trying to pick up a fight, which I don't care that much about, buddy. No, I didn't mean Calgary, but pro-Palestinian rallies, in general, which often do turn violent. Google it. That's about as much as I am prepared to respond to your posts.

Ok so this was the original post:

I see no problem with the cop's actions at all.
This is his response, which was his interpretation of nik's post. I did not read it as his thoughts/beliefs

Seeing no problem with what the police office said, is a big deal. Just project this same phrase over any similar situation - raped while wearing a short skirt, beaten at an arena by an opposing team fans, having your wallet stolen while falling asleep drunk. Physical violence is against the law in a democracy, unless your life and safety are imminently threatened. For an officer of the law to suggest anything to the contrary is ridiculous, reprehensible and unacceptable.

If the guy gets assaulted because he's wearing a Israeli flag the cop has to intervene and arrest the assaulter and offer protection to the assaultee.

Its not up to the cop to say, well you got assaulted for wearing that flag, oh well lesson learned.

The cop was wrong.
Somehow your post makes it look like you were talking to me

If that happens, then Athiests will be in a precarious position.
They won't have any easy targets left (ie: Christianity).

athiests wouldn't dare criticize Islam!
So the Athiesm Lobby would essentially die off.
