Pro-Russian rebels claimed responsibility, how is that jumping to a conclusion? No one is saying the Russian state did this.

@SkyNewsBreak
Sky Sources: #MH17 flight was in a restricted area unsuitable for civilian aircraft

https://twitter.com/SkyNewsBreak/sta...28808972042240

Is this "unsuitable" in obvious hindsight, or were there actual restrictions to civilian aircraft in this area. Considering Lufthansa and the FAA have instructed planes to avoid the area it would appear to be the former. Not sure what Sky's sources mean here.

Kinda worrisome. I fly over Ukraine and Russia once a month. Has to be considered a near act of war on Russia's part if the rumors are true.

Someone else posted earlier that American airliners were instructed yesterday to not fly over the area.

Considering the rebels already have control of the crash site, not gonna be much of an investigation to be done considering most of the evidence will be destroyed.

I dislike Russia, but I don't think this was done by the state of Russia, it appears to be pro-russian forces, slightly different, not that it matters to those on the flight or their families.

Stay safe on your travels.

There are AP pictures from this morning of a BUK (Advanced AA capable of hitting that high) driving through the rebel controller town next to this one (Snizhne).

There are already Youtube videos of the terrorists, er I mean separatists, rummaging through the wreckage, looking in suitcases, displaying passports (including showing the photos), etc... Nothing is going to be left as is for the investigation.

Put it all together and you have a clear picture of what happened.

Now the only question is the type of response from the world powers....

This requires a strong response, no matter if it was a "mistake" by the rebels or not. Point is that these rebels have been supplied with equipment that not even the most hardened Islamic Militant group have. These missiles came from the Russian military and as such Russia should be slapped immediately with very harsh sanctions(cripple the Russian economy and make the people turn on their "great leader" and yes NATO should be looking to get fully involved here. This is unacceptable in any form or matter, Russia has been playing this game for far too long and it is time for a leader of the western world to stand up! Where is Reagan when you need him?

I doubt any world leaders would make such a statement at this point though. They have to at least appear objective.

seriously man, that's not how things work. Most news stations are only reporting allegations that it was shot down, the POTUS isn't going to claim it.
