Slap in the face for Messi to get the Golden Ball?

haha ok, I know it's called the Golden Glove ... but they shouldn't actually make it a Golden Glove. That thing looks ridiculous

Golden Glove has to be the most ridiculous trophy I've ever seen handed out at a professional tournament

How the hell did Messi win the golden ball, he didn't do anything after the group stage.

Hmph, I would not have put Messi even in the top 5 players of this tournament.

For example the best Argentinian in the last two games has been Mascherati, IMO.

Also really surprised that he's won it in the first place.

Nm

Also, Platini is fat. And Beckenbauer isn't there because he thinks Fifa has thrown him under the bus with the Qatar bribery issues and investigation.

Also, good to see zee Germans didn't switch jerseys for the trophy presentation like Spain did last time.

I hate the guy, but I think Robben was the best player this tournament.

I'm sure Messi would totally pull a LeBron off of Argentina if he could.

Robben, Mascherano, And pretty much any German were better choices then Messi.

Typical FIFA bs when it comes to awards.

This is one of the great World Cup achievements.

First European team to win in the Americas (8th tournament)
Played 7 games in 6 cities
Group of death. Games in 3 hot cities, 2 games at 1pm kickoff
Round of 16 down to the southern tip where it's as cold at 8C
Beat France, Brazil and Argentina in the last 3 games.

To be fair, Spain has about 3 or 4 versions of Quebec, even more separatist really. So hoisting the trophy in the colors of their flag is a pretty big deal.

Nice to see the tournament won by the best team.

Messi with the golden ball? Makes a mockery of it. Wasn't even top three.
