As much as this horrifies the #### out of me, it is also fascinating to think about the work that is being done behind the scenes. Hopefully everyone is found safely, and after that I'd love to know what the hell went on.

I hope the kid and grand parents show up soon, and safe.

All right.... I have to speak up now. I worked with both the mother and father. I will say that she is an incredibly strong willed woman and that her demeanor was exactly what I would have expected of her. With her husband distraught it would be in her character to take charge and get the message out, because someone had to.
Don't make them victims twice over...

I don't know why people publicly speculate like that on public message boards. It's fine if you want to speculate in private, but on a well known message board like this in a relatively small city, there are bound to be family, friends and acquaintances reading this thread.

Does it mean CPS thinks the kidnapper is known to the family?

What the heck does that mean... They now have corpses??

Devils'Advocate doesn't think so. He popped in this thread and made only one post. It's on page one and it certainly isn't meant as simply as it sounds if you read the posts leading up to it.
I agree with you CS, there are times when a little bit of grace and respect are in order, even on an anonymous message board. I really hope there is a break soon and the parents and family can start healing.

Respectfully I disagree, I think the more people talking about it the better.
There is an AMBER alert out for a 5 year old - the more people discuss it the better chance he will be found sooner.

What details are you referring to here? I haven't heard anything about the grandparent's finances. They were having an estate sale but that was because they were moving I thought.

Of course there is room for discussion. But speculating as if it's a game of Clue doesn't sit right with me.

They had an all-day estate sale as they are moving? Likely they took in alot of cash, and a spying eye would have noticed. I wonder if they had time to deposit it, after their day ended. If not, it could have been thousands of dollars in their possession that a robber may have sought.

Glad that there is some progress!

I dunno, IMO, it's a message board, where people are free to discuss. It's no different than if it was a bunch of people talking about it at a coffee shop. A message board is just a larger coffee shop with a lot more people.

That's not a common truck. Hopefully they can find them soon. Hopefully this is a positive ending and no one ended up getting hurt physically. There will always be mental trauma to both the grandparents and the 5 year old

The tail lights look long and narrow, I'm thinking it's an early 80's F-150

CPS says it's a Ford? I personally think it;s a GMC, either a 1500 or a Chevy Silverado. The main cause of my thought is the front bumper.
The GMC's have the bumper that wraps around the corner, where as the Fords were a straight bumper.
The bodies were very similar in that era, and the bumper could have easily been replaced, I'm sure the police have much better identification methods than I. That's just my thought.

How many green trucks of that era could there even be on the road. Can't they just pull the registrations and go knock on 20 some odd doors, easily knock off the majority that would be in poor shape. Is that too simplistic?
