Hahaha!
Watching a bit of the replay of Raonic's match, and during the second set, the cameras panned to some Canadian fans in hockey sweaters. The announcer surprised me by knowing that LA won the Cup, but turned it into a "Canadians are moving onto tennis" joke, but then the commentators had this awful exchange:
Colour: "Those are hockey shirts, right?"
Announcer: "Yes, of the Toronto Maple Leafs"
The fans were wearing 2010 Olympic sweaters.

Genie and Simona driving the steamrollers now, on a semis collision course. Honestly feels like we just watched this girl lift the junior Wimby trophy yesterday (actually just 2 years ago) and now she's a favorite to take home the real thing. As beat down flames fans, it's nice for once to have a real homegrown contender to cheer for in sport.

Also I think there was something insincere about Serena's "viral" infection yesterday. Even during warmup she was stumbling around like a drunkard leaving the pub at 3am. Normally if you're unfit to play you either call the trainer or pull out so as not to embarrass yourself. But nope she goes out there anyways and throws down the Octo-fault like it's no biggie, until her sister and the ump finally put a stop to the spectacle.
If she's really that sick then I hope she's ok. But Girly once called her the biggest phony in tennis and this doesn't do much to change my mind.

Well the word is Wimbledon organizers utterly despise it when players who lose in singles subsequently withdraw from doubles if they are still in. So the thinking being Serena faked whatever that was so she could "withdraw" without doing so pre match or whatever. The whole thing is very bizarre.
And is it too early to say we're getting spoiled by Genie? I feel like it a little but I'm certainly not complaining. Milos needs to take care of his end so Canada can have 25% of the remaining singles players.

Also with her win Genie is assured of being a top 10 player next week, depending on how things shake down (namely Kvitova) she could enter the top 5 by winning Wimbledon. Wow.

Murray is down two sets to love to Dimitrov. Djokovic tied at a set. Is it possible we may have none of the Big 4 in the semis this year? If nothing else Federer has to cash this one in, it's breaking his way big time.

Murray now out...Djokovic down 2 sets to 1....Federer down a break....what the hell is going on? A generational transition on both the men's and women's side at the same time it appears.

This is bizarro world as far as all the upsets are concerned (not that I mind). Come on Milos, you need to take advantage.

Cilic and Djoker are looking to be going 5. Hopefully it's quick because Milos and Kyrgios are up next on court 1.

Truthfully, I would hardly call Wawrinka beating Federer any sort of upset. And looks like Djokovic is coming back with a vengeance.

Kinda neat to see both Vasek Pospisil and Daniel Nestor still alive in the doubles tourney as well with their respective partners Jack Sock and Nenad Zimonjic...

I think on the grass at Wimbledon it would still be considered an upset (not as much on a hard court).

Pospisil and Nestor are in the same half of the draw unfortunately so no potential matchup in the final, but on course to meet in the semis. Djokovic has assumed control so that one looks over. Stan is absolutely killing Federer with the backhand.

Milos is moving on up too. He's going to pass Del Potro and Murray after this week, and if he wins today, will also move past Ferrer. Should be sixth or seventh on Monday, depending on how he and Demitrov do from here on out.

Kyrgios needed that first set substantially more than Milos. At the same time, had Milos won it this match might be pretty much over. Now Milos has to win the second or he might get run off the court in 3.

Milos is missing some pretty easy shots here.

Gotta give that kid credit. Much like yesterday, he can't really seem to get a break, but he holds his own serve then just takes advantage of the opportunities given him in the tiebreaks. It's been remarkably effective.
