Agreed.
We're not exactly front runners... more like a third or fourth option for most of these guys.
Treviling is careful.

No FA please. There are a few trades id like to see, but FA are too expensive.

3. Kyle Quincy - 3rd pairing D. Only 28 years old and is coming fresh off of a two-year stint with the Red Wings - which is like saying he spent the last two season at a hockey camp for NHL players.
4. Mason Raymond - Still young. Still fast. Would pursue if Moulson doesn't pan out.
5. Jonas Hiller - I still think we need security in G. Nothing deflates a young team faster than bad, unstable goaltending. If things go south with Ramo, we'll need Hiller's experience to keep things stable.

Well I had a pretty good first day; got two of my guys. Missed out on Moulson, but I'm glad we didn't get Orpik for that money/term. Same with Quincy, holy crap I did not see $4M per for him.

I'd really like us to take a shot at Peter Mueller. Big centre, managed to stay healthy in the Swiss league last year, and a right shot.
He'd probably come here too, as we can not only offer money, but opportunity as well.

We need offense. I wonder if they look at Grabovski.
Downie would get you some more truculence.

On his Oilers Now show this afternoon, Bob Stauffer mentioned, that apparently Grabovski wants 5 by 5.

I seem to remember Grabovski wanting something like that last season but then settled for a one year deal. Doubtful he will get more than 2 years max. The Oilers could be interested.

Trade for Brett Connolly (RFA) wouldn't bother me either.
Grabovski is just waiting to be overpaid IMO. Pass
