Breen was a weird case, because he didn't look capable in the NHL but looked too good for the AHL. He might still develop into something, it will be interesting to see if he does.

His neck was getting sore from looking down on everyone else on the ice, so they got Breen to give Chara someone to talk to face-to-face.

Was hoping he would get another year. Was very capable in the AHL, and really started doing a great job protecting down there too. Thought he would eventually become a decent 6th defencemen in the NHL - and I still think he will in time.

Good for him. Maybe working with Chara will be the catalyst to a sudden "ah ha!" moment for him. I wish him the best.

He needs to play. Cant get better sitting in the press box, hopefully he gets a full season in the A, then who knows. Good luck Chris!

He did not look good at all when he was up with the Flames, so I'm not upset he's gone. Maybe he can improve a bit more and get a full time gig with the Bruins down the road. Good luck to him.

^ Yes. It's a curious signing for Boston too. Hope he does well.

He was getting a little better at the end there. Hopefully he doesn't turn into something awesome.

Before his season ending injury the guy was unstoppable with the Heat. He was so deserving of an NHL shot, but went down at exactly the wrong time.
After that, he just didn't like the old Breen even at the AHL level.
I wish him the best of luck and, hey, I hope he becomes an everyday NHLer for the Bruins.
