We don't actually have many gophers in Alberta, it is Richardson Ground Squirrels you are thinking of. Gophers are more like mice, the ones you are thinking of are more like, well Squirrels.

They are still out there. But I think, cold winters and rainy springs might be hard on populations of burrowing Animals. Freezing and Drowning have probably been at a high the last 16 months, they will likely recover quickly with a mild winter or dry spring any time in the next few years.

^^^ Correct, but those RGS' are commonly called gophers by most people, and I assume what Troutman was talking about?

Maybe not? Trout?

Yeah, I know they are RGS.

We have noticed populations seem to be down for many years - at the ranch, and along the highways,

I think your backtracking with this explanation, but regardless if that's what you really meant with the photo or you made a mistake it's still not the same thing and not really an answer to the problem or the original question of OOTC's you quoted when posting the picture. Obviously spraying is much different than pollinating and can't be easily changed to do the same thing at least with the technology we have now.

Machines doing things to plants is not as simple a solution as your comment seems to suggest it is. If it was, we'd be doing it by now. I suppose we could make advances in that, and we probably will, but waving away the problem with /simple isn't really saying anything.

Apparently. Just seems typical when you tried to pass it off on me and others that we were out to lunch for not knowing what your post meant, when you coulda just said 'oops, I made a mistake'.

But that's the internet for ya.

Anyway for those that do care about the bee discussion, how about the study that came out the other day. Are these neonicotinoids the same thing scientists were talking about last year and years previous?

Don't they pollinate plants by hand in countries like China? Not feasible here though.

Yeah they probably do.

You just gotta wipe some of the pollen (jizz) off of the male flower's stamen (dong) and stick it on the female flowers pistil (bagina).

Plant is then knocked up.

Then the male and female flowers smoke cigarettes.

When you say it like that, I might not even need to get paid to perform this highly useful public service - move over, bees, it's go time!

Identifying that lobby groups will tie up any action by the US or Canadian governments, Home Depot has begun acting as though legislation was already in place. I don't know if I've ever said, 'nicely done, Home Depot', but 'nicely done, Home Depot'.

You may be confused with this

Quote:
One method these farmers use to extract the “kif” (female pollen) includes having naked women run through the fields. In doing so they become covered in resin. Then comes the erotic and tedious job of wiping the women down and saving the ball of goo that has been collected. Most of the other methods use some variation on dry extraction using silk screen to collect the pollen crystals and then pressing the crystals into blond hash.
