Odd, Day for Night was when The Hip started to lose me, prior to that album I was a huge fan. It was a good album, but for me it marked a change in their sound.

I am also a sucker for Full Completely, as it was the sound track to a great and horrible time in my life.

			People who don't read GMG.
There are certain files on our network that users access, but are maintained by IT. A user sent in a ticket a week ago, and last week was pretty busy with a VOIP migration and our network getting hit with CryptoLocker (meant to post that as a gear grinder, but never did...a user clicked on a link in an obviously fake e-mail. We promptly got rid of it via restoring a backup), so it was never escalated to my team.

She e-mails me this morning asking if I can get to her request today, but on reading it, I think to myself, "Self, I swear that I did this 3 months ago". I check through my Outlook, and the file in question, and lo and behold, I did.

I e-mail her back stating so, asking where she's looking. She replies with a folder path to a duplicate copy of the same file, and its in a folder called "Archived - June 2014".

 /facepalm

The constant construction noise coming from the new Cadillac Fairview building across the street from mine downtown. Today, it sounds like they're doing constant jack-hammering. It's been going since 8 am, non stop. I can't believe how loud it is...

I think those are already in...they're the cement columns, right? The building has about 6 or 7 floors built already and thankfully it's going up pretty fast.

ah, if you think IT is supposed to be gg'ing stupid users free, you're probably in the wrong job.

IT could have it's own GmG thread.

Thankfully I don't deal with the day-to-day stuff. Things just get escalated to me if its in my area of responsibility. Still GMG though. I didn't rename the folder (whoever did it should have hidden it), but it said "Archived" right on it. |

People on their cell phones in their car drive me nuts. If you stand at a busy intersection it looks like half the people are on their phones. Just this morning some lady is on her phone and delays harvest hills by a solid hour for everyone crashing into the back of a car on the deerfoot on ramp and then.... she continues to stand on the side of the road staring at her phone as the wreckage is dragged away. People... get off your damn phones ffs.

Neighbour threatening me with a bat. Way to take a minor dispute (which I was attempting to discuss like adults) and escalate it into something much more.
