I watched a guy once try to bring in a whole boxed pizza to a movie. He somehow had it attached underneath the back of his coat.

LOL, we tried that one time when visiting Ontario, got this New York style pizza MacKay's, stuffed it in her purse.

Thankfully she had nothing else in there, but even with layers of wrapping, we were out the next day shopping for her new one or two hundred dollar purse as it was utterly soaked with grease.

Bad idea. Thankfully we learned from that and just got her a large crappy purse for her to utilize for movies.

But stuffing some chili cheese burritos from Taco Bell in it's wrapping and in a bag.. no problem.

I never buy food or drink at movies. What a rip off. My in-laws go to movies and buy snacks all the time, my jaw just hits the ground. Then they get up to go piss and miss 5 minutes of the movie. I don't really understand any of them.

Coffee with Tim's crappy lids wouldn't be a good idea in a purse. Honestly I don't even care about the money I just want a Tim's when I crave it and a theatre has a Tim's then I will gladly overpay them for it. I just feel that for the price of admission they should at least let you bring in a beverage if you don't like the crap they serve.

The Tim Horton's in Chinook is the same price as any other Tim Hortons, so it's not really a big deal. I've never been stopped bringing in a coffee though, that seems odd.

IIRC they have Starbucks too.

Does no justice, I'd rather the bar let me walk away with the booze I bought so I can drink my way through some of these movies I have to go see.

Not that I'm complaining, it's only a convenience factor, I pay a lot less just having my wife bring booze we bought from Costco instead.

I hate the idea of booze at the movies. Some of the worst ever movie experiences were involving drunk idiots in the crowd wisecracking or talking too loudly. I think people who want to drink while watching a movie are ####ing weirdos.

I've never reserved a ticket--and am not sure the theatre I go to almost weekly even offers this service--but I can see it being of benefit on a Friday or Saturday, which I typically avoid.

However, do they label the seats as spoken for so people who didn't reserve a seat don't have to move? I'd be pretty pissed if I were one of those, and as the theatre fills up you get bumped to crappy seats.

It's not a mix of reserved/non-reserved. The entire theater is reserved seating. You cannot show up and just pick a seat. When you buy a ticket to an IMAX or AVX screening you have to pick your seats. Frankly, every theater/showing should have reserved seating and it shouldn't cost extra.
