Default Advice on a monitor

Hey guys!

I found what I think is a good deal on a monitor... but I haven't actually bought a monitor for myself in many years so I wanted to ask you awesome folks what you think of it.

The monitor is the Samsung S24D590PL. It is a 24 inch PLS monitor.

The price at BestBuy is $199 (I just happen to have $150 in BestBuy gift cards).

Technical specifications are here.

I primarily use my computer for gaming and web browsing.

Let me know what you think. Is there a better 24 inch monitor I should be looking at instead?

Thanks!

Sorry, I edited it into my post but I did it a few minutes after my post.

I use my computer for all sorts of things but the primary uses are gaming and web browsing/video.

I don't know how much it matters to you (depends on your budget), but Acer has the world's first (TN panel :<) 28" 4K G-Sync monitor coming out next month.

Acer XB280HK

Spoiler: It's going to be $700+

Thanks for the reply but I don't have the PC hardware to run anything in 4K so it wouldn't be much use.

Just looking for the best 1080p option.

I prefer Asus for gaming, and never been disappointed.

Ah but that's the glory of G-Sync, if you have the hardware to even run it at 30 FPS @ 4K, it willl look like it's running at a 60 FPS VSYNC

The new goggles also do nothing.

$700 for a TN panel, I don't think I could do it.

Heh yeah seems very expensive now doesn't it. Though I remember paying even more than that to upgrade from a 14" to a 17" back in the days of the tube screens, probably close to 20 years now in fact!
