I don't understand, that penalty is about as clear as a penalty can be. If it was outside of the box, would have been a free kick.

It's not the attacker's responsibility to avoid the defender when he's gone to ground and not played the ball.

If I'm not mistaken, it's not his responsibility to try and miss his defender. The responsibility lies directly with the defender. At least that's my understanding of the rules.
