Even if Neymar will be the one getting the praise after the game, Oscar has been a catalyst offensively all game.

That was easily the worst call I've ever seen in a world cup.

As sickening as it was to watch the total incompetence of that call it was as much so to see the ref reaching for the yellow card for what was a pretty animated but nowhere near over the top protest at his incompetence. In fact it was a yellow for beginning to protest.
It's nearly as if they feel that throwing the yellow out justifies their decision and makes it correct.

watch it again at full speed, that's the only thing the ref has to go by. Looked like he got grabbed. The replay obviously shows you different.

I didn't think the ref was having a great game as some were suggesting prior to that, but that pretty much sealed it. Hope he's gone for the KO stage.

Watching I thought he was grabbed not tripped. Replayed showed neither.

I'm sorry, but the optics of that call live were there. His hand was on his shoulder and Fred went to the ground.
122% it was a flop but with his hands up and the swift fall, along with the arms being raised to plead for the penalty, made the call he saw fit. Send the ref packing? Worst call ever in a World Cup? Calm down people.

Wait I thought it was only the Italians who dive... Newsflash for all you people who only watch every 4 years. It's soccer, everybody dives. But it'll keep happening cause the refs fall for it just like that horrendous call to make it a penalty.

wait, so, it's ok to blow a call so long as the players were asking for it? riiiiight.

Where did I say that? Keep twisting words sir, keep twisting words.

If refs gave in to every penalty appeal there would be 42 a game.

That one is a tough call on the other end though, can't let guys launch themselves into goalies who are jumping into the air to catch the ball.
