The article agrees with you!

BEST SEQUELS EVER
Sometimes the second or third time really is the charm, as evidenced by these sequels, all of which are better than their predecessors:
1. The Godfather Part II
2. The Empire Strikes Back
3. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
4. Terminator 2: Judgment Day
5. Aliens
6. Gremlins 2
7. Spider-Man 2
8. Mission Impossible III
9. Kill Bill Volume II
10. The Road Warrior

GHOSTBUSTERS II (1989): A listless rehash made by bored gajillionaires, this sequel follows the template of the original -- reducing the characters to laughed-at underdogs -- without retaining any of its charm or inventive playfulness.
Ghostbusters two is a great movie, I think it's damn hilarious.

Worst movie sequels to me are Oceans 12, Batman and Robyn, althought until Batman Begins I wasn't to big on any of the other Bat movies.

Slapshot 2

I haven't seen it, but it's the worst sequel ever.

No, and only because Stallone thinks it was good.

Nope. That one had no redeeming qualities. There was nothing fun about watching that pathetic movie.

American Psycho 2 was pretty awful. Probably too bad to even make such a list though.

I think Robin Dunne deserves a career achievement award for starring in more awful and ill conceived sequels than anyone:

American Psycho 2
Cruel Intentions 2
Species 3
The Skulls 2
Au Pair 2

Quite the resume!

No list of worst sequels is complete without:

Highlander 2
Godfather III
Superman 3 and 4
X-Men 3

worst:

Terminator 3
Alien 3 and Alien Resurection
Robocop 3

after reading igottago's post I rememberd the Star Wars prequels. I agree 100%. George Lucas is a goof. I use to love Star Wars but that crap he made turned me completely off the whole thing. All 3 of the new ones are absolute garbage.

I agree with Habernac too. Only liked the original Matrix.
