Was she on Crowchild Trail in a Chevy Traverse or Equinox?

If so I was right behind the car that hit her.

Me too! I have an upper throat cough that is terrible, comes out of nowhere, I've had it since mid-april. I get hacking so badly and my salivary glands seem to produce like crazy.

is that happening to you too?

You both should get those coughs checked out. Could be bacterial.

Mine was pretty mild and combined with congestion since May but it really picked up last week. It was almost a wheezing cough at its peak last weekend and I did have quite the headache but I never developed a Fever or anything so I was just popping advil and tylenol and going about my day (which wasn't very condusive to getting better) and the headaches eventually stopped but the cough is still here. It's a little better than it was before but not much, still congested too.

My cough feels like it's deep in my lungs and I cough up a lot of flem. At it's peak I was coughing so hard that my chest hurt and I felt like I was going to puke but it hasn't been that bad in a while.

I'm booking a doctors appointment today.

I had an ear and throat infection. It started to clear up but then I started to get this hack and I thought that maybe the infection was moving to my lungs. I went to the doctor and it turned out it was post nasal drip. Never had that before. It basically is just gunk that runs down the back of your throat and makes you hack constantly. I was hacking for a good 2.5 weeks. My chest was so sore. I got put on two medications to get rid of it all.

Avamys Fluticasone furoate nasal spray - corticosteroid for nasal use

and Azithromycin to clear up any infection.

Best. Chrome Extension. Ever.

This coming from a guy that doesn't even use Chrome extensions, and develops software for a living. Adblock is a godsend.

Just a heads up for those in this city that like to hobble around like you've got literally no where to be; Most of the left turning lights in this city are motion censored. You need to be at the damn light before it (would) turns green.

That's right tan Equinox today. You creeping up to the left turn light on Glenmore east turning onto Barlow, cost everyone coming up behind you the use of a left turn green on that cycle.

If I was little more confident I'd go out and tell them, but you never know how they'll take it. I'm sure there's lots of people in this city that do **** like that and don't even notice that they're light didn't turn green, or notice but don't understand that it was them not getting up to the light that caused them to wait til the next rotation.

They (and most intersections) are weight sensor-ed, not motion. Doesn't make it any less aggravating.

edit: mind blown, per below post.

Induction loops to sense the metal in your car, not the weight...

I hate drivers who think being a few cars ahead will significantly reduce their commute time and as a result of wanting to squeeze ahead they block other lanes of traffic.

Every morning I see a number of these idiots on east bound Memorial approaching Crowchild Trail. The right lane is usually slow and fairly congested because there is a large number of commuters who take the exit onto south bound Crowchild. It is very common for some impatient idiot to hoop out of the right lane and cruise ahead of a dozen cars only to have to slow to a crawl or stop in the left lane in order to attempt to go back into the right lane before their Crowchild exit. These drivers also don`t appreciate me honking at them while they impede the progress of myself and other drivers continue eastbound.

Drivers who don't drive with a sense of purpose or urgency. The lights at the exit from NB Deerfoot onto WB Memorial are short. It's frustrating to see the amount of gappage people allow to open up before touching the gas.

WRGMG is when the city puts a bus stop immediately after an intersection so that the bus stops with no room behind it for any cars.

kelowna is really 'good' at this too.

however, i've noticed that they've been making improvements to a lot of bus stops and now at a number of stops the buses can actually pull of to the side of the road so they don't block the flow of traffic... until they put their left turn signal on and traffic yields to them

It's especially poor traffic planning when the bus stop is located immediately after an advanced green. Why Calgary? Why?

Good graphic. It seems to be a common mistake conception they are weighted.

For you cyclists and non-cyclist this is how to find the sensors. I hate it when their are those people that stop a full car length from the stop line.

From Bikesense British Columbia book

Traffic signals
Many traffic signals are triggered by electrically charged wires buried under the pavement. When a vehicle stops over the wires, the metal disrupts the current, which sends a signal to a traffic light control box.

Most bicycles contain enough metal to trigger the light, but you should know where the most sensitive spots are. Look for cut lines in the pavement, filled with tar. Depending on the shape, the most sensitive spots are:

Diamonds: just inside one of the points.
Circles: about a quarter of the way in.
Rectangles: up front, in the middle.
If you cannot trigger the light, and you have waited an appropriate amount of time, treat the traffic light as an uncontrolled intersection and proceed when it is safe to do so.

How every time I come here on Tapatalk I have to click on a picture of an animal carcass to get to the Off Topic Forum. Well, except when it's a pic of a really creepy basement. Though both are kind of appropriate I guess.
