Dave Randorf is decent. He's an upgrade over most at SN.

ya I like him a lot, I know he does pbp on the team 1040 here on Lions games and when Shorthouse is doing the Sportsnet games
but I could see either Rogers or TSN (maybe Montreal which Randorf was doing) grabbing him to be a regional guy

I have a hunch that Ball will be the Flames new PBP guy. Just a hunch though. Edmonton has their stooges, Van has their long serving tandem who at time are quite good (I mean the guy that sounds like Bert from sesame street uhhh Shorthouse, not his color commentator, hate that guy).
Rick Ball is a great PBP guy and the Flames region just so happens to have a nice cushy job opening.

Ball is good, i would approve of that.
Randorf is solid as well, first Cole and now this. Sportsnet making some moves in the right direction.

You could say that in some ways. They now have the Sat. games and total control of HNIC along with CBC staff, either by hiring them or using them for hockey. Scott Moore is the president of SNET, prior to that was the head of CBC Sports, and prior to that was the head of production at SNET.

Is that the guy who does the Nationally televised Junior games and the Top Prospects game?
I'm for that as well. He's pretty good.
