This year is different. Before I didn't have the pieces to get out of the basement without completely gutting my farm system, which I didn't want to do (right move as well seeing as Nyquist and Palat are two of the best young players in the league). Now I have 18 players under 24 in the NHL (Bourque, Eakin, Leddy, Ekholm, Palat, Pirri, Nyquist, Nieto, Bjugstad, Da Costa, Jurco, Gudas, Barbeiro, Tanev, Andersen, Raanta, Pageau and Zadorov) + a well stocked system besides them and probably the best established forward group I have had.
I also haven't added any cheese yet (which I plan on maxing) and it's a month to go till the draft. So, after all that I need a couple of D-men and a goalie to round things out. That's fine because defense is the easiest position to fill. Bryz will not be my starting goalie at the beginning of the season either.
