There must be some CPers running in one of the distances? 50k, full, half, 10k, 5k, or kids race? Or most important of all, volunteering!
Ill be out there for the full.
If your not participating, you should still check the road closures for sunday so that you dont end up posting in the WRGMG thread when your stuck in traffic Sunday morning.

I'm dropping down to the half this year. Did my first full last year, but training for it through the Calgary winter/spring sucked so I'm going to do a full later in the year in Halifax instead. That way I can train through the summer here. At any rate, I'm aiming for 1:45.

I'm contacting The Sun and Councillor Chu right now to complain about this. Shutting down roads for people running? Roads are for cars.

Doing the full as the 50k was sold out pretty fast. Will be the 4th time for me on the Calgary full and each time the course has been slightly different. Should be fun and likely painful Actually glad the 50k sold out to make the choice easy.
I'm so impressed with anybody who can run 50km. Never in my life have I completed a 5km run and thought "you know what I could go for? 9 more of those. In succession".
My wife is running the half. I'm also being left alone with the kids much like red sky. There should be a separate thread to recognize the true heroes.

Doing the half again this year. I didn't train much over the winter but if the race was later on in the year, I would love to do the full...may try one elsewhere this year.
The 50k guys will get a free stein from Wildrose Brewery!
This will be my first full marathon. My goal is completion, and to overcome my competitive nature that got the best of me when I ran my first half-marathon at the end of this past April. Set PB's (by minutes, not seconds) for 5km & 10km but had to walk the last 2km because my legs stopped working.

Running the Half this year. Unfortunately, I'm not in as good shape as last time, so no PB for me. Happy to be there, though. I actually broke my wrist this year on a training run (stupid uneven sidewalks), so it will be a long, sticky run for me.
