Just an odd quirk of the last national tv deal.

GM or not, this LA team is much better than anything Darryl ever had to coach in Calgary.

Ridiculous how tenacious and effective defensively the King are.

Oh...and dominating special teams.

And leading all teams in GF per game.

The goalie is not bad either.

Yeah, we were better in net and had the best winger ... other than that, this LA teams smokes any Flames team Sutter had.

No way a Sutter team drops 3 straight in the playoffs. Looks like a dream scenario for the NHL shaping up in a LA/NYR finals.

Didn't a Sutter team already drop 3 straight in this very playoffs?

You clearly were also not basing your opinion on how Crawford has played in these playoffs, because he has been very, very good.

I'd be quite happy if the Hawks figured out a way to get some shots on net. The Kings have done an effective job of collapsing in front of Quick and not letting many shots get through.

Don't worry, Cuthbert will be calling NHL games next season but they will be regional games. Most of those games will be offered on Centre Ice. He may also be calling games for NBC.

Yep, TSN was incredibly lame with its send off right to SC. No special or simple montage. Just before Sportscentre, James Duthie talked about how it was the final national game on TSN. You could see his eyes filling up with tears. I can understand as it's the end of an era for him but as he said, the panel and other TSN hockey features will still be seen along with 130 regional games. Good riddance to TSN, hockey doesn't live here anymore. No more pre-empting Flames games! Here's your song TSN.

Well it's official after HNIC rides out the Final series it will be the end of an era for both TSN and CBC as we enter the 12 year jail sentence the NHL has bestowed upon Canadian fans.

I'm more sad about losing CBC than TSN by a long shot. Their panel had devolved, but they were still the best at treating hockey as an event.

Here's to 12 years of Kypreos, MacLean and ####ty production values.
