Mason Raymond. the guy hasn't done anything wrong (well, other than play for the Canucks and Leafs) .I have no reason, I just hate his name.

FYI, I still loath every single sports team in Edmonton - and cheer for every team in Calgary. The only exception might be the U of C Dinos vs U of A Golden Bears - which is neutral for me - considering I attended both schools - and actually attended the U of A for a longer proportion of time.

People can cheer for whatever team they want. To be honest, I have more respect for people who live and die by their hometown team, no matter where they move (ie. people who were born and raised in Calgary and cheering for the Flames no matter what city they end up moving to).

My grudge are the bandwagon fans who move to a city and switch allegiances just because that team is doing well compared to their previous favorite or hometown team.
 |
I wouldn't recommend it on the EC Conference Final thread.

On shifting allegiances, I did it once.

I was 11 and the Flames moved to Calgary. That was one of the best days of my life.

My sensible grudge (not grunge)?
Against people that suggest what "could have" (note, not could of) happened, with such certainty. I am going to guess that if Ramage and Walmsley could have (again, not could of) been acquired for less than Brett Hull and Steve Bozek, it would have (not would of) happened. I am guessing Fletcher did not over pay just to be nice.

John-Michael Liles. Not only is that a stupid name, but everytime the announcers calls his name, he never just says ''Liles''. It's always John-Michael Liles.
Johan Franzen and his goat-looking face. I love his style of play, but something about his mug drives me nuts.

Our problem was Dennis Morel and not being able to get past the first round and the Oilers.

I just realized that I got the name of the most hated ref ever wrong, Morel that's the evil one.

If we are venturing into the "might've" territory, we "might not have" our first cup, never-mind more than 1 if we didn't trade Brett Hull Ramage and Wamsley. And Hull didn't win his first cup until he's 27 years old and have Hitch as his coach.

I already have a sweet job here in Calgary, so no.

I don't care who people living in Vancouver cheer for. I want people who choose to live in Calgary to stop cheering for the Riders/Oilers/Canucks/Jets/Leafs/Habs and cheer for the Stamps and Flames.

Get with the program people!

And I support you in that choice. If you ask me, people who live in Vancouver should also cheer for the Flames and Stamps!

The Pen's radio announcer they would air ad-nauseum for their goals:
"And he beat him like a rented mule"
 "Well, slap me silly Sidney!"

Ugh. Just can't stand the way he excites himself over his draft lotery heroes.

That's a good one. I also hate how he feels the need to update point totals after every goal. It makes sense though, as Oilers seem to care more about meeting their expected point totals than less important things, you know like wins and playoff appearances.

			Derek Morris.
I'll never forget the year he held out. When he finally signed, the Calgary Sun had a photo of him looking like a huge blob up at his home in Sylvan Lake, where it looked like he hadn't worked out in months with this big, pathetic smirk on his face. I wish Craig Button had kicked him to the curb.

			Craig Button.
Bought out St. Louis and traded Savard for Zainullin.

Imagine having Savard and St. Louis with Iggy all those years?

Then I kinda have grudge against Darryl Sutter for not snapping up Joe Thornton when he had the chance. Again, imagine jumbo and Iggy playing together duing their primes?
