I'm cheering against Montréal like most others here.
However, it actually is a penalty if you stick your foot out and sweep your opponent's legs.
Just hoping for some even up calls.

There's been a few suspect calls. Or certainly embellished. That wasn't one. He kicked his feet out from under him.

The Habs fans I'm watching the game with are saying "if they're calling it, dive away!"
Lots of acknowledgement of embellishment.

I thought it was incidental skate touching. Weiss fell cause he was off balanced

they were fighting for position, richards didn't make an attempt to kick him down, there have probably been many similar plays that have happened in this game and not been called. It was a weak call

If that's how you see it, fair enough. Either way in the third period of a tied playoff game it was a weak call, imo.

OK. Fair enough. Particularly given the penalty discrepancy

That isn't the call to be bickering about.

Exactly, it was the most text book penalty. (Note intention isn't relevant, just if it was done).
But man New York needs to capitalize on these giveaways.

There were two high sticking non-calls there.

Celebrated Square Root Day

Is Vanek serious there? He lazed around at the blueline like it was a beer league game, and forced his linemate offside. Brutal.
