Obviously Johnny was the smallest guy on the US roster but not by much:

Johnny Gaudreau 5-8 159
Tyler Johnson 5-9 182
Andy Miele 5-9 175
Tim Stapleton 5-9 180
Vince Trocheck 5-10 182

What a shrimpy squad.

That Chuck Berry diddy needs to be played at the Dome every time he scores a goal.

Most players wouldn't have that many WTF moments on a season-long highlight video. That's all just from one game.

I believe it. We've seen lot's of pictures of Gaudreau and Arnold together, Arnold is listed as 6'0 and Gaudreau looks like he's only 3 maybe 4 inches shorter.

I thought Arnold was 6'2?

EDIT: Never mind, was thinking of Knight's height

Not so sure it works all that well but great tune.

To give credit to that great video, I would, however, be in favour of gif'ing Bubbles being baffled and having it displayed on the jumbotron every time Johnny successfully does his magic.

Johnny went down after a crosscheck from behind in the Czech game but he bounced right up. I was worried he went into the boards but you couldn't tell from the camera angle.

Fleury actually hit a lot more in his first couple seasons in the NHL - when he was 160 lbs - than he did later.

That bubbles clip is perfectly placed. That's exactly what I was saying while watching these highlights of just 1 game.

If that was Johnny highlights from the entire tournament I would still be impressed. Even when he's not putting up points the kid just constantly sets up his teammates, finds open ice and draws penalties. It's weird watching him play without the puck, he doesn't go to the high traffic areas where most forwards go, but he goes to where he can safely receive the puck and make a play (which may become him dekeing the defense and driving the net).

Seriously, with a skill-set like he has been blessed with I honestly think he's going to make a fine NHLer.
Anyone remember the Cammalleri exit interview when asked about Johnny putting on weight? Essentially said he doesn't think Johnny is the same kidn of player as him (or St Louis) and he's great at the weight he is now because it fits his game. Put on weight and he might be slower and not as slick on the ice to avoid hits.

Johnny is quite strong for his size. He lifts others' sticks with ease and they can't easily lift his. Of course, leverage may be a big part of this. I think he should work on leg strength (if his weight goes up, fine, but the main priority should be stronger legs to power through obstruction).

Johnny wins puck battles by being quick. I think he wins enough puck battles his own way that he could stand to lose a few by being outmuscled.
