What a waste of skin Sterling is as he said the following in interview with Anderson Cooper about Magic.

Quote:
"What kind of a guy has sex with every girl, then he catches HIV? Is that someone we want to respect and tell our kids about?" I think he should be ashamed of himself. I think he should go into the background. What does he do for the black people"?

"Has he done everything he can do to help minorities? I don't think so. But I'll say it, he's great. But I just don't think he's a good example for the children of Los Angeles. That he would go and do what he did, and then get AIDS."

There's some truth to it. Many people had already forgetten about Magic's HIV episode or are too young to know. I'll say Magic's salvation came from him being honest about his HIV but that still didn't erase the fact that he was promiscuous in his youth.

Watching the Heat last night, I came to the conclusion they are becoming the Cavs with LeBron again. He has to do pretty much everything to make them competitive for a title, not even the frontrunners. Wade looks totally shot physically and Bosh is the softest power forward in the league by a mile. I wouldn't give Bosh more than $10 million a year and Wade no more than $7 million. And if they wanna chase a max deal Miami should let them walk and use that money to have a complete team around LeBron.

As to Sterling, well, he is right Magic is a terrible role model, but of course he has to say so in the dumbest, most over the top offensive way possible. I almost feel like he's trolling at this point.

That's generous for Wade. With the premium maintenance plan the Heat afforded him, he still only played like a high end bench player average 10-15pts. I would say give Wade $5M and Bosh $10M for next season and LBJ $15M so $30M for three players. The Heat will then have like more than $35M to fill out the sqaud.

LBJ will wait until Wade and Bosh make their decision before making his. If they excercise their player's option, you could be looking at close to $60M for them three.

Good as Riley is I doubt he can find many ring chasing veterans who will take minimum like Ray Allen did to play with the Big 3 next season.

LBJ's problem is if not the Heat then where to sign? Definately not in the West but in the East, only Chicago makes sense from a competitive stand point assuming a health Rose will be there.

It's a fascinating debate, I'm not sure if I'm on Sterling's side or Magic's side.

Magic was interviewed during one of the games and he wants boycotts no matter what. Even if the team goes to Sterling's wife or his kids.

The outrage is pretty ridiculous. What did they ever do? Guilty by association?

Magic wants the team. He's going to try and leverage what was once a legitimate issue into a forced sale so he can buy it. [/Conspiracy]

Not sure what Magic does for minorities but the part about sleeping around and catching HIV is just the truth.

As society, its funny how athletes such as Tiger, Kobe, Magic who have been busted recently for cheating on their wives but its forgiven and forgotten. Yet other things, comments stay in the media.

Sterling, Magic and everyone needs to worry about their own crap. Sterling needs to shut up, Magic needs to mind his own business (when the team is available then buy it).

if, at the start of the year, I said to you there would be a second round matchup between Indiana vs Washington, and the stat lines between the centers would be:

Center 1:

13-15 and 5 -7 from the line for 31 points, 16 rebounds, and 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 3 turnovers, 1 foul

Center 2:

2-7, 0-0, for 4 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, 4 fouls,

Hands up who would have said Hibbert was center 1 and Gortat was center 2?
and like me you would have been wrong.

Gortat with an absolute monster, clutch game. Wow.

A glaring stat Wizards 62 rebound to Pacers 23 rebound. How do you get out rebounded by almost 40 boards in a game? I haven't seen the game yet but are the Pacers giving up.

No mention yet of Stan Van Gundy who is close to a deal with the Pistons to become their coach and president. Its speculated that its a 5 year deal with $35 million. Also, speculated he would bring in Otis Smith as his GM.

Disgusting call by the refs to pretty much give the Thunder the game.

It was a mix of both the Clippers choking and the refs IMO. Still a crazy way to end the game.

Clippers did gag, but the officiating all series has been decidedly pro-OKC. I expect Doc Rivers gets a massive fine for rightfully going after the refereeing.

Bad call but CP3 did lose his dribble after that and one more time on the last play.

NBA refereeing in this post season so far has been brutal. Too many missed calls or too many one-sided calls. Is the game really too fast for them these days or NBA been hiring crappy referees. I can't watch every game now.

Goodbye Brooklyn. I honestly think we would've given the Heat more of a challenge at least.
