I'm obviously the exception...
I have many Flames hoodies, shirts and hats - but I don't own a jersey,
and would never wear one to a flames game, let alone would with my name on it.
I'm just a fan, haven't earned right to wear it.
Also the same reason I have never and will never touch the Stanley Cup.
*edit - I should add that my kids have jerseys and wear them to the dome, I just think it's different for adults

Pretty sure this has never happened to anyone ever.

I mean, it's your money so do what you want, but I still think it makes you look like a dork.

I say players come and players go, but I'm a fan forever so my name goes on the jersey

You did not say removed you said " tackled and Ripped off) the tackling is assault and ripping off is in how the law is written is robbery. You worded your story to be as if it was a random guy you guys jumped and destroyed his jersey. Re read your post. It was troll bait and I fell for it. Don't pretend that's not what you did.You tried to sound hard on an inoccent tackle and tickle fight you had with a co worker. Otherwise you would have used words we jokingly did thus and joked we would beat him down. To quote Samuel L. Jackson " English mother####er!! Do you speak it?"

Edit: not to mention saying you were going to beat him down is uttering threats. But now we know he was just a friend its no big deal but how to write is incriminating.

I've seen people get lambasted on here for having that opinion so I never bring it up...but since you did, it's a pet peeve of mine. The 'we' and 'us' when talking about the Flames (or any team for that matter) just bugs me for some reason.

It's one way to make a $230 jersey worth nothing....
Personally, I cringe when I see them. However, I do have 2 Derek Morris jerseys, as it matches my last name.

I clarified what I posted but you still continue down the violence path. People who know me know that i'm not a violent person. Anyway, carry on if you must.

Paying over $100 per game gives me the right to wear anything I want to the game. Personally I think it's lame when people don't wear a jersey.

Don't see a problem with it, although I generally wear mine while playing ball hockey or NHL on the PS3 vs wearing it to the dome.

You had a point about making a jersey worthless. I got mine from Value Village for $15...

I don't have a problem with anyone doing it and I used to do it when I was a kid but for me personally I find it a bit cheesy and would rather get the actual player's name.

I've my last name and # on the 04 Jersey that I got for like $50 when I worked at the dome during their cup run as a thank you gift. I only wear it whenever I play shinny or ball hockey.
It's also got a few autographs from that time from the likes of Darryl Sutter, Robyn Regehr, Rhett Warrener and Andrew Ference. Wasn't able to get Tanguays as he took off early during the Staff/Player Luncheon and also Iginla was mobbed so I wasn't able to get his.

Okay, but what if:
(1) NHL.com was having a sale
(2) you were drunk when you ordered it
(3) the 'C' was a 'free addition' and you are of Scottish lineage, so, you know, a bargain's a bargain...?
