Given the things that I have seen heard I am not the least bit shocked. During supervisions ( I sit In the crowd with a clipboard and watch the game like everyone else) I have had multiple instances in which parents are down right crossing the line. Obviously it can be very intimidating for a young kid. I often approach the parent and explain the obvious flaws in his behavior and try to educate them.
It is an issue that is plaguing minor hockey. Even as an adult when I take verbal abuse it can bother me. When you skate 5-6 games a weekend it can wear you down. In all honesty had I gotten into it at a young age I likely would not still be doing it today

one of my best friends officiates a lot. it is not uncommon for him to throw parents out of the rink. he just blows the whistle and tells the parent to leave. if they don't comply immediately he tells the coach of the team the parent is cheering for that they have 30 seconds for the parent to leave or else they forfeit the game. he has yet to have a forfeit
...and it's almost always a mom who's going nuts

WRGMG is having a signal light bulb burn out and you have to become that ######bag who drives around without using your signal light.

Hand signals until you put in a new bulb. With crappy weather you are driven to change the bulb sooner rather than later.

I carry extra bulbs in my vehicle. I use my signals so much driving around for work that the plastic connectors actually overheat and melt. I end up changing bulbs every couple of months. That's something most Calgary drivers can't say.

Dirty stinking water and mud at the dog park that my dog inevitably runs through, causing her to become a wet and stinky dog, really grinds my gears.

Celebrated Square Root Day

Grinds my gears that I don't know what the hell happened in the Heather Glen Golf course parking lot. Anyone else see that **** this morning? I was driving into work and there was a large commercial truck (like a class 3) near the back of the parking lot and it's front two wheels were about 2 feet into the pavement, with it's bumper touching the ground, like the pavement just gave way.
My best guess, not knowing anything about asphalt, is that this was a heavy commercial vehicle that the parking lot couldn't handle and it just starting going in the pavement and then tried to get out and made it worse?
I should have taken a picture. All there is now is two huge sinkholes in the pavement and staff have put pylons and tape all around it. Weirdest thing I've seen in awhile.

Yeah that's probably it. They probably got some shady company off kijiji to pave their parking lot.

How to Make an Illegal Left-Turn
========================
- Make sure there is no oncoming traffic.
- Make sure you are not going to inconvenience ANYONE behind you by making this illegal turn, because you have to wait for oncoming traffic to clear.
- Make turn.
Not following these simple rules will result in getting stink eyes and honks from people piling up behind you, while you are staring at these two highly visible "no left turn" signs, and an actual left turn lane 2 blocks ahead.

I had a gem of one to add to this thread but can't remember it anymore.
Not remembering what it was RGMG.

Knee surgery RGMG. It's awful being unable to move more than ten feet from your bed. But even more so, people at work e-mailing me and asking me for things while I'm in the friggin' hospital (and everyone knows this) RGMG. Come on, have a little consideration.

There's a specific name for it, but essentially I had already had a hamstring-based ACL reconstruction, tore that graft. So this surgery was to fix the same problem again with a patella tendon graft and also to put some sort of "strap" (as the doctor called it) on for additional lateral support for my knee.
Translation: my knee really hurts and feels like a big lead weight if I try to move. Can't go anywhere besides bed to bathroom and back, for the next 4-5 days or so. Not much fun; I don't recommend it.

Hockeyguy: Couldn't help myself, sorry
Knee surgery horrifies me. No idea why but I would be a basket case if I ever had to have it done. Hope your recovery is a quicker/better than expected!

Why do so many girls feel the need to take selfies while driving? I don't get it, rgmg.
