Want Iggy to win the cup, dislike the Habs.

I cheer against any Canadian team in the playoffs, I rival all Canadian franchises, I have no hate for Quebec, Ontario or any other place in Canada....but Edmonton

I'm sure the Habs will be selling this as "Happy to be going home with the split"

But that could be the turning point in this series. The Bruins were starting to get frustrated and Price was looking unbeatable. Now the best team in the east has its mojo. Their composure was always going to be their biggest obstacle, and they conquered it in the 3rd.

Iggy. Personally I hope Montreal wins 4 straight, can't stand the cheapshot diving Bruins.

4 straight? Best of 9?

You can't seem to think straight after that loss.

Care to elaborate onto why it was a cheap win like you said earlier but have ignored requests to elaborate?

I'm aware of the storyline or I wouldn't have asked if that was people's motivation for cheering for the Bs. I know lots of people back home (northern alberta) who just hate Quebec as well and I saw posters busting out the frog insult.

Other ideas I thought it could be were carryover love from them beating the Canucks and it seems like a lot of guys pretty much hate Subban.

One bigot poster.

That said, screw the Habs.

Haha, it's funny you say that, I've always had a bit of a soft spot since my first strong memory was the Flames beating them in the finals and lifting the cup in the forum. 86 was a couple years too early for me but I'm glad I didn't witness it, losing in the finals once was painful enough.

It's derogatory slang for a French person.

We owe the Boston Bruins a debt of gratitude for 2011 and if they win again and Chara hands Iggy the mug then we'll owe them a debt which will only be dissipated once they play the Flames in the playoffs.

I'm not on CP every second of the day Puckluck. Was cheap because 3/4vof Boston's goals were a lucky bounce/fluke + Price had a rough 3rd period.

Oh okay, so when Price plays out of his mind, the Canadians are awesome, but when he stumbles a bit (which is debatable) it's also not the Canadians fault, now it becomes a cheap win?

For me, I want Iggy to win. With respect to the American team aspect, I am not an overly patriotic or civic person at all. Doesn't matter to me whether its a Canadian or even a Calgary team at all. The only Calgary sports team I cheer for is the Flames, don't care bout the rest. Heck I am only a Flames fan cause i liked them when they were in their last year in Atlanta, nothing to do with it being the team of the city that I now live in.

No. The Canadiens never were playing awesome, Price was the reason they were winning, up until some fluky bounces went Bostons way and rattled price.

Your logic is so flawed.

No, I don't have the time to elaborate because I'm not here every second of the day.

I wouldn't call dominating the opposition and capitalizing on your breaks "cheap".
