Default My Name is Earl

Did anyone see the episode of My Name is Earl tonight? Does anyone know the name of the artist or song title of the song at the end when Randy gets to be the bandit? Thanks

Was it "East Bound and Down"?

edit: It could have been that, or "West Bound and Down"

Both by Jerry Reed.

Anyone surprised this show is doing so well? It didn't seem that spectacular or out of the ordinary. Sort of trailer park voyeur/funny/heartwarming in a unrealistic way, but not that good.

Funny, I've loved it from the beginning and figured it would get cancelled, like everything else i like...

I agree with you Hack, i watched the very first episode and I don't think I laughed once. I guess redneck humour doesn't appeal to me.

The episode was "Stole beer from a golfer" and here is a link to the tunes from that episode...

Agreed. I love the way it is shot like a movie with no laugh track unlike most sitcoms. The close-ups on facial expressions really add to the humour of a lot of scenes. I am certainly buying it on DVD when it is released.

I think the show is hilarious and although Earl is a redneck I didn't ever think of the humour as being redneck or appealing to rednecks and not others.

Felt the same way. I am a huge Jason Lee fan. I just love his humour. I figured it would just get cancelled because people just wouldn't know when to laugh without the laugh track. I would be left watching shows like Deal or No Deal...

Greg the Bunny is my ultimate proof that the world is too stupid to get subtle humour. America needs fart jokes and laugh tracks and silly tripe like Friends.

There is nothing wrong with a good fart joke. Toilet humour has its place.

Laugh tracks don't bug me as much as actors who have an obvious pause for the laugh track.

And I have Greg the Bunny on DVD.

I was really unhappy that Greg the Bunny got yanked, what a brilliant show. I know they did a pilot for a new series but they never bought it back.

Who can forget the show where Greg castrated his room mates girlfriends rotweiler.

Classic stuff

I never realized that there is no laugh track but now that I think about it I see that. I love this show, I think that it is very funny.
