Flames win 1-0. Arnold gets the goal assisted by Gaudreau. After the game, they are cutting the puck in half so they can each keep it when a mysterious light shines out from the core. Next thing anyone knows, Kevin Hayes appears in a Flames jersey and all three retire to the study to drink brandy. Camera fades to black on a shot of Mcgrattan holding one dog in each hand and winking.

“@SUNGilbertson: #Flames D TJ Brodie will not play tonight in Vancouver. D Chris Butler will be only guy to appear in all 82 for Flames this season.”

Sounds about right Now lets get that #5 draft pick because it will be the one to win the lottery! I just hope they spent a lot of time reviewing the systems against biting.
Not sure what McGrattan does to make sure someone doesn't do something dirty.
Guy who does something dirty likely is gone for the hit/play or just doesn't engage McGrattan when he tries to retaliate.
Agreed... but its more the case that the rest of the team doesn't want to have to deal with someone else's mess. That's why team's have talks with players when they do crazy celebrations... not because they are worried that McGrattan is going to fight the guy celebrating... its that the other guys have to deal with it.
Most of the Canucks will just want to get this over with, they aren't going to want to have to deal with a billion fights and other craziness because someone did something stupid.
he doesn't even have to fight, the prospect of Mcgrattan and Westgarth taking a run at a Sedin should be enough for them to stay the hell away from Johnny. I know it's unlikely but this is Vancouver, if any team is going to do something dirty it's going to be the canucks with their emotional coach that had an issue with our team already.
Have to tip my hat to Jay Feaster, wherever he may be today, for giving the Flames one of the best draft classes in many, many years back in 2011. Every player from which has a strong chance of being part of the solution here, including that 4th round gem, a Mr. "Johnny Hockey", who will be making one of the most anticipated Flames debuts that I can remember. Special times to be a Flames fan, and we owe it in part to the guy who brought our prospect pool back to respectability.

Watch the behaviour of the other team when he is on the ice. The last two weeks I have seen a lot more room on the ice. Guys turn away form his hits, leading to turnovers.

You mean Tod Button? He's in charge of drafting and he's still with the team.

I think it was the Anaheim game that Big Ern twice crashed the net and not a single duck came up and did boo about it. Usually you get a shot or a face wash something but they ask just skated away. The big man has been great this year.

Maybe but there have been plenty of cheap shots over the years on teams with tough guys on it.
And any team can go after the Sedins if need be.
I think for the most part guys don't do dirty things because they will be suspended/risk having it done to them. Doubtful that McGrattan being there does much to deter a guy from being dirty if that is his intention.
McGrattan provides an outlet for Sestito to direct his anger so it isn\t a Bouma type guy that steps up to him.

I remember Feaster saying prior to that draft it would be one that is going to be remembered by Flames fans for years and that was before the draft occurred.
Feaster drafted well because he learned from bus mistakes but credit goes to the scouts for finding the players
