Well Monahan is Big kid. I think he's gotten bigger since last summer even.

Judging by the game/awards last night I'd say Johnny is 5'8-5'9.

Are these practices open to the public? I'm close by and might just skip work to attend. I also have an ulterior motive to get my Backlund jersey signed...

No I don't believe so, pretty sure we're closed. Maybe tweet some of the Flames media see if they will let you in.

He's probably pushing 160 but compared to 190? That's a big difference. Interesting to see how he does. Fun times.

Default Flames sign Gaudreau and Arnold. Will be available for Sunday's game against...

He's supposed to be 5'9, 159lbs. That's certainly small compared to the majority of the Flames. I'd like a picture of him and Byron standing beside each other for a better comparable.

Not that it matters though, kid's got mad skills and will be fine.

He cant be much smaller than Byron.. Just needs to keep his head up and play hard. I hate it when people make it sound like Gaudreaus size is UNHEARD of in the NHL. There are 15-20 players in the NHL who were his size at age 20. In this new NHL.. He will be fine.

http://www.sportingcharts.com/articl...n-the-nhl.aspx

This is neat, they just updated this list to include Gaudreau hahaha.
I could have sworn he wasnt on there 2 days ago.

You lose weight during a hockey season not gain it, I would say he is 150 tops right now . Summer he might get up to 165 does not mean he can't play though just hope he is very elusive he will need to be.

One thing, and I've been thinking about it all morning. with all of the hype that Johnny Hockey has gotten over the last few games, the word in the Vancouver locker room is going to be to run this kid, to test him, to basically expose him.

The Flames are going to have to really show how close they are as a team tommorrow night, because I have no doubt that an idiot like Kassian is going to make it his mission to mug a 5 foot 8 rookie.

Big Ern, Westgarth and some of the other guys better get ready to go, because I have a feeling that tommorrow is going to get ugly.

A frustrated Vancouver team, a 5 foot 8 super hyped rookie, this might be the 70's or 80's all over again

^^^With one evil look, Grats should be able to put a stop to those kind of shenanigans.

Put Burrows at the top of my list of guys that McGrattan and Westgarth need to watch. If Burrows does anything stupid, whether Burrows turtles or not, he needs to get rag dolled until both linemen have to jump in.

That is why McGrats should be on his line at all times tomorrow, just to make sure.

I could see Torts seeking some measure of revenge as he's probably still bitter over us having a hand in his downfall in Vancouver and contributing to a season that will likely get him canned.

The Canucks are playing out the string on a massively disappointing season where their franchise imploded.

I doubt they care at all that the Flames will have one more rookie in their lineup, no matter how much hype he's getting in Calgary.

Money is 6'2, 195. I'm expecting him to be 200lbs when he shows up to camp next year.

Johnny should definitely look small next to him.

Watching a bit from ice level and he's not really noticeably different from Byron, Cammy, Arnold not huge. Tough to judge with gear one. Quick though, really quick.
