Hockey Sense: You have an uncanny ability to read the play on the ice and put yourself in the best situation to score goals. This extends outside hockey as well. During the night, you can choose a player to watch and see who was targeting them. You won’t be able to see exactly what they did to that player, however.

Your teammates know that you’ll be there to help out when things get physical on the ice. You are a vital part of any team.

Enforcer: Take advantage of your strength and help out a teammate. Each night, you can choose to get in the way of a fatal attack against a player of your choice. If the player was actually targeted for a fatal attack, this will cause you to suffer critical injuries that you will never recover from. You will die the next morning, but your target will survive.

Chirping: Your way with words is legendary. You always have a witty reply to any positive or negative comment directed your way. Because of this, you feel like you must always be a part of the conversation. At the end of each day, you must be in the top 6 post counts in the thread or your night action will fail. Do not spam to increase your postcount! You cannot disclose this restriction to others.

I changed the post restriction for Delgar to make 10 posts each game day as there would be no way for him to meet the original goal.

You’ve been known to turn it on for periods of time, and to completely disappear at other times. You were feeling great when the lockout started, and you’re worried that the chances it will stay that way are diminishing the longer the lockout happens.

Hot Streak: Turn on the heat and you become a force to be reckoned with. At night you may choose to target a player and they will unable to carry out any actions during the following night. As an example, if you pick someone on Night 1, they won’t be blocked until Night 2. As the hot streak is then used up, you must wait until the following night (Night 3 in the given example) to get another Hot Streak and continue the cycle.

Cold Streak: On the nights you’re waiting for your Hot Streak to return (Night 2 in the previous example), you’re only able to post a message that will appear as flavour the next morning. Perhaps a warning, a joke, or anything else you want to say as long as it doesn’t break the rules. Try to keep the message to 15 words if possible.

Growing Fandom: As time passes, more and more people take notice of you and your abilities. If you survive to Day 3, you will be given a random ability to use at night. However, each night you will receive post restrictions leading up to Day 3 to account for this. Failure to follow these post restrictions means your ability will be delayed a Day further. You are not allowed to explicitly reveal to anyone else that you are under a post restriction.

Your Day 1 post restriction is that you must discuss a junior hockey player much in the way Peter Loubardias or Jeff Marek might do on air in every post. Be excited about these guys! Reel off some trivial information no one really cares about!

Then go ahead and sign up! As I've said before, I'm not a huge fan of restricting people from signing up, even though spots might fill up fast. If others want to give new players a chance to sign up, then they're welcome to do that. I will put a note to that effect in the signup thread.

I wouldn't let your time zone deter you, there didn't seem to be a really strong pattern in when the action tended to happen. Sometimes it was morning, sometimes mid-afternoon, sometimes late evening. There's always the risk that things might happen quickly while you're away, but that's true even if you're on MST.

I would be open to the idea of a side thread for specific people who want to discuss, but I'm definitely worried about the people in the game finding it. Normally with a mafia game, it's radio silence outside the thread for good reason. The only way I would be comfortable with the idea would be to only invite those people from the first game who aren't in the second one, and that's it. I also probably wouldn't share player role information in there like I did in the dead players thread.

This solution isn't totally fair to others on CP who haven't played but want to discuss it, but we're not far enough along here that I can safely say someone wouldn't try to get an edge by finding/being given the link to a private thread.

devo22: Time zone shouldn't be a huge issue for you, as the discussion normally stretches out through the days. Like octothorp said, there can be some big bursts of action but that affects everyone.
