A championship would be the cherry on top for Gaudreau and co. Gotta think that a second championship with his brother on the team would only further supplant the idea in his mind that he has nothing left to accomplish at the NCAA level.

I never played with or against Travis much, nor did I ever talk with him either. I had no idea he went to the Bobcats after playing for the Smokies. Thanks for that, actually.

Yeah, I think that if BC takes home the title, with Matt Gaudreau along for the ride, followed by JG's inevitable Hobey Baker win, it would eliminate any shred of doubt that inking that contract is the best next step.
Abby is going to be fun to watch this spring.

I don't know any of the three on the team, but I was born in Trail, lived in Fruitvale and Montrose and was a '96 Crowe graduate (same class as Jason Bay). My mom knows who the Jones twins are and has told me about them before. The Smokies had some good teams when I was in my teenage years, but it sounds like they've been terrible for the last 15 years. It's too bad. I really enjoyed watching guys like Steve McCarthy and Shawn Horcoff go through the system.

IIRC the Hobey Baker ceremony was televised/streamed last year. From what I can tell it is awarded Saturday, April 12th. Is it right before the final game is played?

You are a good 11-12 years older than me and about 13-14 years older than the Twins and St. Denis. Not surprised you don't know them, as I know very few people 10-15 years younger than I am. I was born in Trail and was raised and lived in Rossland. RSS class of '07.
The Smokies have been terrible for as long as I can remember. I only recall a few glimmering bright spots like Isaac Reichmuth, Jeff Mushaluk, Kevin Hachey and David Eccles.
