Why want Ekblad when you have Wotherspoon?? Seriously, what a beauty of a play. His defensive play is always talked about, but talk about that offensive one, he had everyone fooled!

Ramo came back the same way he was. Only letting in a goal per game since he's come back from injury.

Awesome win by the Flames. Very entertaining. Great overall game and no passenger in this team. I thought Sharks played well.

-- best line tonight is the Hudler-Stajan-Glencross. They were buzzing all night abnd it's good. I thought Glencross was good and would have scored a couple of goals at least. This line was responsible for shutting down Jumbo Joe's line.

-- I like the Byron-Backlund-Cammaleri line also. They didn't produce much offensively but they were going after a lot especially Byron.

-- the young guys: Wotherspoon looked poised out there defensively and he played like a veteran. You can tell the confidence is growing. Great pass on Colborne's goal. Agostino, even though hasn't produced yet but he looks very responsible defensively. Always helping the defense. I am sure once his offensive instinct comes into play, he'll be a good one. TJ Brodie... this guy is impressing me everytime i see him play. I still see a huge potential on this guy.

-- the veterans : I already mentioned the 1st line Stajan's line, Cammy. The veteran Ds starting with Ladislav Smid. He really complement Wotherspoon a lot and you can tell how much he's been helping the young guy. Gio and Brodie... what else can I say about this pairing? I am glad Hartley kept these two together. I also have to give Russell credit for giving Butler a lot of confidence. Butler as you can see has been night and day. He's been playing well since he was partnered with Russell. Love these D group and pairings.

-- Karri Ramo. We are starting to see what Jay Feaster sees in this guy. He started slow early in this season but I think Joni Ortio is pushing him to play well. I know Ortio is already in the minors but Ramo must be thinking if his game drops down, Ortio might take his starting job not this year but next season.

-- the coaches. Was wrong about Bob Hartley but he is proving me wrong. I guess he is really a player's coach. The assistants was pretty good in helping the young guys play composed every game.

-- Big Ern. I love this guy. He is a big cheering teddy bear out there and he's been improving his game. You can really tell he is a team player and knows when to pick a fight.

The rest of the season is a good experience-builder for the young ones especially. I am sure players from Abby are watching on the young guys also and hoping they will get a chance to play with the Flames. I can't wait for the next season to start.

First time poster, and lurker since about 2 months before last year's draft!

Honestly, I could not resist saying something about how proud the Flames have made me this season after this win against the Sharks. Going into this year, the last thing I expected was for this team to give me such feelings of pride... I feel so fortunate that I'm cheering for one of the most exciting and hard-working teams in the entire league.

There's just so much hope with this team and so many amazing story-lines that have come out of this season. The emergence of Gio as a true leader, Monahan as an (almost) 20 goal scorer with crazy hockey IQ, Bouma and his unbelievable hard work and of course Stajan and everything he has been through, just to name a few.

It makes me feel old saying this (I was in the third grade at the time) but this team is the most entertaining team since 2004. They don't just play like a team, they play like... a family. There's just something about this year that feels different, where you can tell that all the players have not only bought into the system that Hartley has implemented, but they have truly bonded. Each player goes out and plays his heart out for the rest of the team shift after shift, night after night. All I can say, is thank you Flames.

“@Kristin_Hallett: "Sorry, I'll get out of the way." - Wotherspoon (his stall's by Gio's, which draws a lot of media).
"No, Tyler. We're here to talk to you."”

The Flames were excellent. That was terrible for everything other than comic relief from misplaced self-confidence in dance ability and unnecessary use of body language that can only be described as "screaming mime".

I've been stressing a bit about the Oilers getting Ekblad and the Flames not getting any of Reinhart, Ekblad or Bennett. But you know what? We have a TEAM. This team will battle until the very end, and we don't need a top quality prospect to rebuild this organization. I'll be happy with Dal Colle, Draisaitl, or whoever, because I know he will come into a system where he can learn and thrive.

I was at the game tonight, and I have to give a big shout out to Tyler Wotherspoon. He looked like a 2-year pro. Not only was his assist unreal, but every aspect of his game was sound, and I love how Hartley rewarded him with plenty of OT icetime.

I'm proud to be a Flames fan.

Wow, I think if the Flames continue on like this, the rebuild is almost complete with 2 seasons with Hartley. I'd say that Hartley should be awarded coach of the year for how the Flames have turned 180 with this team from beginning of the year and after that Canucks brawl. This team is not perfect, yet. But damn, it'd definitely looking pretty good with some of those prospects in the line-up.
