What a mess the oilers are in, they can't fire their coach again....maybe if they get some high draft picks, maybe the owner should get more involved........

I think the oilers were trying to show why they should get the first overall pick and take Ekblad. The oilers are just terrible and it really looks like they are losing on purpose, the league really needs to do something about teams like this

The funny thing is, that out of all the coaches over the last while, this is probably the guy who deserves to be fired the most.

Agreed. They really should have kept Kruger.

IMO the most satisfying Flames win in years. So many great moments moments which you typically don't see in such a one sided game. If they handed out Oscars for best regular season blowout this would win hands down.

While I have been very impressed withCammalleri's production, I don't know if I'd call it him being comfortable on a rebuilding team. I see this more as he thought he would be dealt at the deadline but when he realized what other GMs gave his worth, he realized if he had any chance at a paycheck come July 1, he better start playing like he gives a damn.

I would love it if he did stayed and played with this intensity but his lackluster hustle on the ice before the deadline and his fire right now just screams to me as he got a wake-up call for free agency.

Glencross' hat trick also came with a little of 12 minutes of icetime.

Stajan's 4 points didn't even get 12 minutes of ice.

Imagine how it could have been had we kept the pressure on.

oh, and Westgarth's tip in was one of the best deflections I can ever recall from a Flame player. (recalling Gilmour's tip between his legs, a couple of niewendyk tips, langkow with one I can remember, but westgarth's is right up there)

But clearly Kruger has no idea what he's doing as he's running an English Premier League team now... Not even in Hockey... pffftt...

Tough to say as the injury may have been lingering when he came back. I do think he was told what the Flames were offered and from who. Which has motivated him in picking up his play. Getting a paycheque likely won't be the issue. It will be who offers him pay cheques. When the good teams didn't want to trade for you at the deadline...you need someone to be remorseful on July 5th and offer you the next contract.

It's funny -- we called up Agostino to get some NHL experience. But the level of competition we played last night was no better than Dartmouth...

Good Thing The Flames had played the night before and were a little tired. If not the Oilers may have lost By a touchdown and a field goal
