Ortio looks like he needs regular meetings with hesketh.

It looks like his pads are heavy.

I'm fine with that goal, it was a minor mistake that can be fixed.

22 years old, adjusting to the NHL vs AHL which is a MASSIVE adjustment. The kid will be fine, it's not conditioning, it's getting used to the speed.

It just bugs me when colour guy (Simmer) uses shoe leather cliche's to try to explain anything. It's worn out and tiresome.

Wouldn't be the first fatty from the farm.

How much has he played this year?

Or does he really need to hit the iron more?

Edit-meant to quote re Ortio and possible conditioning problems. Reading it again, I guess it's ok! Nm

One guy says that his pads look heavy and now we have a "conditioning problem" topic to argue about for months!

That's a good point, it might a case of being momentarily overwhelmed.

He's 22-6 with the Heat this season, 2.22GAA, 2 SO and .926 S%.

Pretty sure his conditioning is fine.

You seem to be the only one arguing.

That, or his pads were wet.

Just me, but I thought Ortio's mobility was just fine. He just needs to get used to the speed of the game and covering some of the angles a bit better.

Overall, I'm ecstatic with what I've seen from him so far. He's legit.

Goalies might be a bit out of sort for having to sit through that ceremony.. both of them were flopping around/out of position at a few points.

Was a joke. You'd have to look pretty hard to find an argument in my post.

Someone should make a 'Fat Joni Ortio' twitter account.

That's also a joke.

The Flames may have secretly been hiding an NHL team down on the Farm. I'd like to see this group together for the rest of the season to get a better gauge of them but There's too many guys that'll be coming back pretty soon.

Can they not cut Francis or something so they don't have to interview Joe during the play? When the interviewers have to pay attention to the game and try to interview, it does a disservice to both.

Darren Haynes ‏@DarrenHaynes_CP 1m Since Nieuwendyk, No. 25 worn by Roche, Krivokrasov, Andersson, Kravchuk, Sonnenberg, McCarty, Moss. Since Fleury, No. 14 worn by no one.

Cool factoid.
