Spot on. Byron was a monster.
Also, what a year Gio is having. I honestly think if he hadn't missed any time he would be top-10 in defenseman scoring and getting Norris talk.

Another factor, curious if Joe Colborne & Jiri Hudler will be out of the lineup for a period of time....

Both left the game with injuries...

Pretty sure Colborne came back. Wideman and Hudler left and didn't return.

The drive for 25th has begun. The Flames just don't want to be in the bottom 5.

It used to be that you needed 80-81 pts for 25th ... Flames need 25 points in their last 20 games.

They have a chance to catch Vancouver (1-8-1) in their last 10, Nashville (3-4-3), and Carolina (3-7-0).

The league should award #25 in the standings the #2 draft pick...... best of the tanking teams.

Maybe make it the team with the most points in their last 20 games that doesn't make the playoff gets the # 2 draft pick.

Would love to see Reinhart, Hankowski, Baertschi, Knight, Ortio, Grandlund, Gaudreau playing in some meaningful games towards a goal.

Corban Knight was 61% in faceoffs last night (11 of 18), Backlund at 56%, Monahan at 50% and Granlund at 46%.

Not too bad against a team ranked 10th overall in faceoffs.

Good write-up. I agree 100% with pretty much everything you said - especially singling out Byron. Also glad to see you gave Butler the nod. He has been really good lately, and more physical. I thought last night might have been his best game of the season.
