Gaudreau is closing in on Paul Kariya's 31 game point streak, may or may not be the NCAA record.

BC's win streak is in jeopardy, they are now tied 2-2 with 10 minutes left.
BC led 2-0 entering the 3rd period.

Maybe a modern one, some of those old records are insane.

Yeah, going back to the 50s, there were some teams that averaged 8 goals per game. You'd have to think that some players got at least a point in every game they played for four years.

On the hockey east website they list the longest scoring streak at 23 games for Kariya in 92-93, but since I saw on twitter that Kariya had 31 games, maybe the Hockey East one is only conference games?

I looked pretty hard. The one thing about the older records is they had fewer number of games as far as I could tell, which means a long point streak favours modern day.
I do know that Peter Sejna had a single-season 31 game point streak with Colorado College in 2003, perhaps people are confusing him and Kariya. Other records had stretched through multiple seasons (ending one season on a point streak and continuing it the next season) but the longest single season I could find was Sejna. However, there was no talk about that being the NCAA record but only the Colorado record which leaves some doubts.
http://www.scsuhuskies.com/custompag...03/2-14-cc.htm
The game log that explicitly says Sejna's 31 point streak ended.

Incidentally this game ended in a 2-2 tie. I believe this is only their second tie in their streak?

Put that chart into context?
I'm one of the few who has totally stopped caring about "the streak" we all know what Gaudreau can do in College and I'm itching to see what he can do when he turns pro, he has nothing left to prove at this level... but I'm imagine most of the guys around Gaudreau on that chart are either older then him by several years and in their 4th years.
