In case people are wondering, a Golden double/double = gold medal sweep of both men's and women's hockey and curling.

I think this should be a term going forward into future olympics.

I like it!

That game was a treat to watch. Like some of you said, despite it being so close on the scoreboard, it felt pretty safe.

Unfortunately for me, on gold medal puck drop, I'll be on the Crowsnest highway about 40 minutes from Cranbrook en route to Creston. (I'm a Greyhound driver.)

By the time I arrive in Creston, the game will be over. If anyone finds out if and when the replay will be, please let me know. It'll be easy for me to avoid spoilers as I can go straight to bed in my hotel room.

I hope I can then watch the game "live!"

According the CBC's website it's being replayed at 11:30 MST on CBC. I'm not sure how reliable that is, but it looks like the closing ceremonies aren't on CBC so they shouldn't have any conflicts.

CBC has been posting the "replay" of games online if you have wifi access and a laptop. It's the raw feed and you can skip past the intermissions.

This game and the whole tourney has reminded me of how the Flames played under Darryl. It's kept me on edge the whole Olympics. Why couldn't we have had at least one laugher?

Tried to. He backed out and made himself unavailable.

Probably not, otherwise puckluck2 would have disappeared. There also would be a new forum member with the handle puckluck3 in the thread.

I'd never defend that little puke, but hes wrong on the first point and right on the second.

It was a good game. It was a great game, probably one of the best games of hockey I've ever seen. It was tactically and technically perfect. It was a team that executed it's custom-made gameplan to absolute perfection. It could only have been better if Carey Price hadnt seen any shots at all.

As to the second point:

It was a sleeper. Was it exciting? Not really, but excitement is generated by chances and chances are generated by mistakes and there pretty much werent any.

Kesler is going to have to hope for Bronze because the USA went down with a whimper.

Even when he didn't play in the game, Chris Butler still ends up having to do a post-loss media scrum...

high stakes games are never exciting. As long as they are comfortable like this one was that's success.
